-no_compat_check does nothing on a hackintosh system?

Hi

Maybe Dosdude1 on macrumors site find a solution for Mojave. Last year, he maker HS patcher for unsupported macs. macOS 10.14 Mojave on Unsupported Macs Thread

He said: "The current High Sierra Patcher downloader may actually work, just edit the CatalogURL to the 10.14 one and remove the metadata URL, and it may work."  (Post #58)

Ook... so looks like the phone number instead of name in Messages pop-up is related to the Region you're using.

Oddly enough, mine was set correctly, still I was having this issue. So...I switched to another country and back to mine, restarted, and...fixed.

Also, the Preview/Quick Look is definitely weird.... Cause, without touching anything, now some of the photos work...whereas some of them still don't. :))

If you already have Clover 4515 installed on your HDD/SSD, you can use that to boot the USB drive, as well. Which has the advantage of keeping your USB drive untouched so you can put (ONLY) the installer on it.

So, if you previously had Clover on it I would recommend removing it from EFI and using the one on your HDD to boot. Should also be easier since you won't need to constantly switch to the USB drive in Boot option screen. Not to mention, once the files are copied to the HDD/SSD, the installation actually continues from there, for as far as I know. So...I'm not sure you will need the USB drive anymore at this point. Could be wrong though.

Anyway, what I would suggest:

1. Format the USB drive (including EFI, or at least mount it and remove Clover from there manually, if you previously had it)

2. Download the FULL installer. Make sure it's the complete one, and not just some 17MB installer. It needs to have around 5GB.

3. Wait until it pops up to install it and Quit that.

4. Open up Terminal and do:

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ 10.14\ Beta.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled

This assumes that your USB drive is called "Untitled" (default naming scheme). If that's not the case, adjust this part in the command above and try again.

5. Wait for the process to complete.

6. Boot from your HDD/SSD's Clover installation and select the USB drive (it most likely got renamed to something like "install......10.14 Beta" or something like that).

7. Decide which partition you want to use and whether or not you want to format it and use that one for future reboots (it should say something like "Boot Install from....[insert partition name here]").

Let's see if this works.

OK, so I followed these steps, still same error, but I did save the installer, could you take a look and see what's going on please.

Any chance you can post a screenshot of your Clover drivers folder? Or, you could clean up your config.plist of any private information and upload the entire Clover folder for analysis?

I'm thinking this could be a specific issue for your setup...

OMG...did you actually install ALL drivers suggested by the Clover installer? :))))

This proves what I was saying the other day with many users not knowing what they need or not need...

Alright, I think I found the culprit.  I'll try to cleanup the drivers folder and upload a more streamlined version so we can try it out.

Update:

@robi39 Ok, please, remove the current drivers64UEFI folder (or make a backup of it on your Desktop if you're planning to compare the two of them) and replace it with the attached one. Try the installer again.

Update2:

Though not related to the current issue, your kexts/Other folder could use a cleanup, as well. Since, I'm pretty sure at least SOME of those kexts are redundant or not necessary. But we can talk about that after we solve the initial issue with the installation.

Unknow reason, I can't help you. :wallbash:

Maybe you should verify md5 of InstallESD.dmg.

Hi Friends, Any one tried Mojave macOS on Gigabyte gtx 750ti 2gb Graphics Card? Please Let me know if it is Working? Metal Supported or Not?

Thank You!

If you need Nvidia driver to have video acceleration, I would suggest that you don't install Mojave just yet. If your card is supported with Apple's video driver, then it should work just fine. As for Metal support, you could try to get the OpenGL Extensions Viewer app from the App Store and check out the Metal Platform features. If my GTX 650 supports it, your GTX 750 Ti should, too.

@wern apfel I've modified my DSDT as follow but it still doesn't work. Here are the modifications I've done

Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) // _DSM: Device-Specific Method
            {
                If (LEqual (Arg2, Zero))
                {
                    Return (Buffer (One)
                    {
                         0x03
                    })
                }

                Return (Package (0x08)
                {
                    "alc-layout-id",
                    Buffer (0x04)
                    {
                         0x01, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00
                    },

                    "apple-layout-id",
                    Buffer (0x04)
                    {
                         0x02, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00
                    },

                    "hda-gfx",
                    Buffer (0x0A)
                    {
                        "onboard-1"
                    },

                    "PinConfigurations",
                    Buffer (Zero) {}
                })
            }

How do I set the layout-id with Clover Configurator ?

Oh, you've removed the layout-id entry.

The entries should be added as an addition, and only if it does not work.

Assuming your layout-id was previously set by the DSDT, use the old DSDT or the previously used config.plist and install the latest AppleALC 1.2.8 and Lilu. Add the -lilubetaall boot argument to the config.plist.

If it still does not work, your AppleALC does not include the latest changes. Try this one.

Anybody try with a old system? like Q8300 + GTX 560 ti? After success install and booting for final step, System immediately restarting on gray screen.

GTX560 is Fermi family not supported in 10.14 and poorly supported in 10.13.

Good news is my GT 520M (Fermi GF119) works OOTB under macOS 10.14 Beta with native NVDA driver, with fully QE/CI enabled I think I'm just lucky with my 2nd Gen CPU that doesn't use IntelHD3000. :P

What kind of network? Ethernet? Modem? WiFi...? For Ethernet there is no setting built into the Network preferences. Modem and WiFi show up fine. :)

The one that if clicked on would give you the drop down to choose which wifi to connect too. My desktop has both ethernet and wifi and internet is working, just no icon is displayed in the top menu bar.

EDIT: This icon.

Ok, so just to confirm, is it set to appear in the Network settings?

I'm talking about System Preferences -> Network -> Your WiFi network -> tick "Show Wi-Fi status in menu bar".

And, even with that checked, it's still not displayed? Cause if so, then it might be a bug. :)
