boot with 0x12345678 ig platform id, dump your edid and paste it here. or send it on a text file.

You can use DarwinDumper or simply copy it from ioreg

Heres an Ioreg and a bootlog. Boot log shows my EDID. This is booting with 0x12345678 PlatformID.

Did you ever try using FakePCIID_.kext and FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext in addition to Clover Fake Device ID?  For me, I need both.

Yeah, im using both. Ive tried them in both clover/kexts/other and also in L/E. kext logs show them loading. But for some reason its making no difference...

Have you tried the boot arg -disablegfxfirmware ?

BTW, I compared my ioreg with yours.  I have 3 different connector types for each of my intel frame buffer entries.  You have only one connector type, 00 04 00 00, which is an external port.

Yeah im using -disablegfxfirmware boot arg. Im using rehabs uhd620 for a base. And i also noticed your IOreg compared to mine. And im wondering if mine is that way only because im using 59120000 to get QE/CI. Even though its only on external ports. The 59120000 a desktop platformID. But no matter what i try i cant seem to get the main platformIDs for my Setup to work. Which are 59160000 and 591b0000. And when i boot with 0x12345678 my IOregs are incomplete. So i cant even figure out which ports are being used lol. Im lost..:surprised:

@tikizondo94 Here i patched your EDID in two variants, try the one that makes it like a MacbookPro display and second iMac Display

Try to add it in your config.plist, you can use clover configurator and simply paste the edid on the custom edid and checkmark the Inject EDID, save, Reboot and see if your display shows up.

If you cant paste it in clover configurator, simply write number 1 on custom edid section, save the config, then open it with PlistEditPro and find it into Graphics section and then paste you edid into custom edid location.

Also make sure you use the IG platform ID that is set on rehabman configs.

Patched EDID (MacBook Pro):

Hi! Try using an iMac17,1 SMBIOS. That helped me a lot with glitches and blackscreen. (Desktop, UHD 630)

It's a laptop, that doesn't work, even if it does, it's not good for power management and other things like hdmi and other ports.

What DVMT patch are you using for your kabylake laptop on Mojave? Are you using the IntelGraphicsDVMTFixup.kext or kext to patch process?

Well i used the new ones for macOS Mojave Dev Beta 1 (which is the Dev Beta 1 that i tested on my laptop):

AppleIntelKBLGraphicsFramebuffer

Find:
76 46 48 FF 05 BA 48 08

Repl:
EB 46 48 FF 05 BA 48 08

i used this patch, simply replaced the find and replace patch from Rehabmans prebuilt config.plist for 620.

i dont use kext dvmt patching method.

When i tried, it was the first beta that was only available to developers. that was the version that i had installed & tried on my Lenovo V330-15IKB - specs:

Intel Core i5 8250U

8GB DDR4 2400mhz Ram

Intel UHD 620 Graphics (AMD Radeon 530 - Disabled, switchable graphics not supported on macOS).

DW1560 Wireless Card (BCM94352Z)

Conexant CX20751/2

Kingston V300 Now 120GB.

1080p 15.6" inch display.

Did you give a try to the that DVMT patch and the Patched EDID that i did give to you ?

I did. Still its made no difference. Im not sure whats going on honestly. Ive tried both kext to patch and DVMT kext methods and both with the same result. Verbose gets to the IOconsole screen lock state and auto reboots instantly. Ive done a full reinstall and same result. Ive tried your patch EDID. Ive followed all the typical laptop install guides and still the same result. I can only boot with either 0x12345678 or by using 0x59120000 PlatformIDs. And the 5912 ID only allows me to have video via external HDMI connector. The graphics are accelerated so i dont think Im having a DVMT issue. But honestly i dont know. Im attaching a log of what im currently working with. Im currently using the 0x59120000 and using an external monitor.

Send me Pauls-MacBook-Pro.zip

I don't know how far you got in configuring your set up but, given your problems, I would start over from scratch and not add anything to clover unless you find you absolutely need it and can't boot without it.  I'm thinking that there must be some setting or kext seemingly unrelated to your video issue that may be causing the problem.  You seem to have otherwise covered all the bases without success and that just can't be.

Also, I would make sure video works before you focus on things like power management.

Agreed. Well i just did a new install this morning of Mojave Beta 10.14. Ive tried 10.12.6 Sierra, 10.13.5 High Sierra and now 10.14. Each time its the same issue. No video acceleration. The only config.plist im using for a base is the one from rehabs master/clover/laptop github. Im using the config stated for the "uhd 620". I know the only PM setting in the config is "plugin type 1" for xcpm. and Also theres a kernel to patch edit for xcpm idle instant reboot. Other than that the only modifications ive made are with kexts and graphics IDs/fake IDs. So like you said. There has to be something in there slowing me down. What it is... I just cant find it lol.

Are you saying that you have the same problem on High Sierra and Sierra ?

Correct. I can boot all of them from sierra, high sierra, mojave. I just cant get QE/CI working. Im looking into my NVRAM variables and im wondering if im having an issue there? When i try to clear my nvram by using "sudo nvram -c" i get "Error clearing firmware variables: (iokit/common) not permitted..

BTW, I took your DSDT from your send me files and checked it out in macIASL.  It looks like it only had DSDT patches on the fly from Clover.  However, it wouldn't compile so I fixed it up so that it would.  Here it is if you want it.  I'm not exactly sure what patches it has.  If you want me to edit your raw DSDT, post it and I'd be happy to try to fix it so that it compiles without errors.

I noticed you have a few SSDTs in your ACPI/Patched folder. Is your config dependent on them?

Not really.  The only reason I have them in ACPI/Patched is because I changed GFX0 to IGPU and XHC0 to XHC in those SSDT's.

EDIT:  About your DSDT, it won't save the edits.  Weird.

Like I said above, I can't get your DSDT to save my edits.  Here's what it looks like:

Pre-edit:

Untitled1.thumb.png.902be0b065a480d751f4d6aa6732f971.png

Post-edit:

Untitled2.thumb.png.ff4624ad3bd8f9e1f9cd891329c41c6e.png

If you ever need to patch your DSDT, this edit will remove the errors so that it can be compiled and saved.

Is this a fully patched DSDT or does it still require hot patches?
