@vit9696 here is the latest Release OC 0.0.4 + latest Release AppleSupportPkg 2.0.9 and RequestBootVarRouting enabled but this option didn't change anything at all whatsoever: OC.zip Here is the screenshot done again: Here is also a short video if you can catch something else unusual in the logs: 20190901_130707.mp4 Thanks, Sniki

@vit9696 Confirmed ! with Open Core 0.0.3 and latest AptioMemoryFix it worked from the first try, Where could the problem be, let me know what to do if you need additional logs to find the bug/problem. Thanks, Sniki

Thanks for the tips @hardcorehenry I know about the kext order and i have it correctly set on my main oc folder that i was using as i created this one as minimal as possible to try hunting the problem in a more easy way however kext order has no correlation with my current issue. It should logically be somewhere in FwRuntimeServices.efi quirks or another quirk as logically i see no other possible reason for this to happen as my Clover setup is as perfect as it can currently get. Maybe i should try OC 0.0.3 with AptioMemoryFix just as a confirmation that the problem is in there somewhere and need to adjust the config.plist or if the problem persists i have to look somewhere outside of FwRuntimeServices and it configs on the plist. Will try your options and the ones @Andrey1970 suggested and update with results later tonight as im at work right now. Thanks, Sniki

I think i tried every possible Quirk but couldn't manage to boot once my (Haswell) Lenovo ThinkPad X240. I tried to go as minimal to at least be able to boot first then fix the rest later. I still get stuck at this screen where system reboots after like 2 sec there, also attached my EFI.zip Here is where it reboots: @vit9696 @vandroiy2012 @Download-Fritz @PMHeart @Andrey1970 do any of you guys have an idea about where the problem could be, any suggestions ?

Thanks @vit9696 Do you have any suggestions/hint on where the problem could be ? I checked configuration.pdf many times but can't find any reference related to this problem Any idea ?

Hi @vit9696 It's a Haswell laptop not ivy bridge. Intel Core i5 4300U

The core problem is supposed to be somewhere in Quirks not on ACPI Renames as nothing is affecting CPU in terms of ACPI aside the Quirks and other General Options. There is no way to make a laptop work without rename patches at the current stage not even with OC (there are only rare cases). You need to patch EC Registers that are more than 8-bit that are battery related in order to have Battery Status working (whether you use ACPIBatteryManager.kext + FakeSMC.kext or VirtualSMC.kext + SMCBatteryManager.kext). You need to patch/rename GPRW or a _PRW that causes instant wake from sleep. You need to patch/rename ESEL, XSEL, XWAK (if present) as they cause issues with USB Ports You need to patch/rename your Qxx methods for Fn Buttons like brightness and others so they can work natively without the need of 3rd party apps. You need to patch/rename BAT0 and BAT1 notifiers to BATC if your laptop does have dual batteries so you can use SSDT-BATC to merge dual batteries into one and have hotswap functionality as dual battery support on macOS is bugged/not working natively. ETC But yes i do agree that with OC compared to Clover we need less more than we used.

Thanks for pointing that out, added my hardware. But im more concerned about my current issue, i read the Configuration.pdf but can't seem to find a reason why i have a kernel panic related to my CPU.

I still get this panic: Lenovo ThinkPad X240 with Core i5 4300U OC 0.0.4 Release with EFIRuntimeServices.efi (latest release) Attached my OC as well: OC.zip

How to solve the problem with Haswell MSR Lock on Laptops so i can boot with OC ? Is there a kernel patch or quirk like there is on clover for this aside from having to mod the bios and remove it ? @vit9696 @PMheart any suggestions ?

Ok so without comments, the 43 _CRS value is my TPD0 _CRS Counting one step before that place should be 42 But now i don't know if 42 should be the skip or the count value ?
  15. Hi, just wanted to point out the typo error: My nickname is Sniki not Shiki, i saw it at the credits section as i see people seem to confuse that quite often (maybe it's due to the legacy "Shiki.kext") Whatever files you used from my repo, they will be updated soon these upcoming days into github and so will my guide, i have updated them locally and will push the changes live into github soon. Plenty of optimizations and code cleanup and more efficient patches. I also created Dynamic System Logos so when you use dark mode, when you go to About this mac, the L440 laptop appears with Dark Mojave Wallpaper and when you set light mode, it appears with light wallpaper. Audio does work excellent for me even with AppleALC + CodecCommander + alc_fix (which is my default use). However yes, the audio volume is lower than windows maybe voodooHDA can fix that issue. Nice detailed guide and great explanation for the modded bios signature problem. A lot of people reported having that problem after they patched bios but the problem was that the people who patched their Bios-es, were not experts or forgot to fix the signature. as in my cases none of my ThinkPads had that problem as the guy who patched my first one, i contacted him for my other thinkpads and he did correct the signature when he did send the mods everytime without asking him.
