Bravò :-)

If you want setting QPI = 100 in clover bootloader you will solve this "problem":

Warning: Clover hw.busfrequency error detected : 17d78400

then you have also this:

- Package Power Limit #1............... : 4095 Watt

- Enable Power Limit #1................ : 1 (enabled)

- Package Clamping Limitation #1....... : 1 (allow going below OS-requested P/T state during Time Window for Power Limit #1)

- Time Window for Power Limit #1....... : 10 (2560 milli-Seconds)

- Package Power Limit #2............... : 4095 Watt

but I don't know how you can solve it

isn't very important , I think

Thank again

Power Limit must be manually edited in Bios

Go to "Internal CPU Powermangement" in section Ai Tweaker.

Here you can set long duration power limit / time window....

I think I might have found whats causing my panic with the hyper threading on. Seems like Asus uses the the same ACPI for quad processors on the dual system, since APIC on my board have 120 CPU entries and DSDT have 4x48 cpu fields basically for 88series, 24 core CPUS.

Any of you fellas know how to edit apic.aml? Been searching the forums and the web but to no avail, or I might be wrong ...

Hi nmano,

I had to leave the Betas and return to the official version of Sierra 10.12 because there is no support for Nvidia Beta versions that followed. I took and did a fresh install with your XCPM 10.12 Haswell-E config.plist and your patchs, that works very well in my new installation. I always used the voodooHDA for ALC1150 and always worked without stress, but this time i wanted to try AppleHDA. I tried audio_cloverALC-120 script, but despite the system to recognize the audio, to be able to control the volume and select the various outputs and inputs, cannot hear any sound. Basing me in your wisdom, will you can give me a help again? Is something missing in my DSDT? It will be something I can do or change?

Thanks and greetings nmano.

Try AppleALC

Thanks nmano,

I made several attempts without success including the clover and #####. I chose to format the drive and make new installation. To have no more stress, I installed the kext voodooHDA 2.8.9 that works flawlessly with my ALC1150.

Thank you SammlerG

I have not that problem..in my case auto is working well

Instead I would like to know How you have enabled in output C3 and different c demotion part! :-)

MSR_PMG_CST_CONFIG_CONTROL.......(0xE2) : 0x7E000406
------------------------------------------
- I/O MWAIT Redirection Enable......... : 1 (enabled, IO read of MSR(0xE4) mapped to MWAIT)
- CFG Lock............................. : 0 (MSR not locked)
- C3 State Auto Demotion............... : 1 (enabled)
- C1 State Auto Demotion............... : 1 (enabled)
- C3 State Undemotion.................. : 1 (enabled)
- C1 State Undemotion.................. : 1 (enabled)
- Package C-State Auto Demotion........ : 1 (enabled)
- Package C-State Undemotion........... : 1 (enabled)

you must enable C6 in Bios to get C3 working.

Your MSR shows 400, so no C-States enabled. 401/402/403 shows enabled C-States.

But there is a problem with X99 Bios and states setting, this causes the jumping CPU in idle state.

Best settings at this time are 7E000403 / 5E00403 / 1E00403 / 403 / 402 / 401. This enables C-States, Demotion / Undemotion.

So first thing for you is getting C6 in Bios, MSR 0xE2 change to 402 or 403.

got your patch.

Only thing i can say is, 403 gives C2,C3,C6 residency, 402 gives C2,C6. But C3 is not every boot set to use.

Can you boot without a xcpm patch, or does it stop at

Hi

This is your msg 0xE2 bios unlocked

pay attention

You have to flash via usb flash button procedure and first you have to rename according your motherboard manual

Flashing is a risk

Flashing a bios done from others is worst too! :-)

Hi Fergarth

Unlocked bios could prevent some OSX reboot in some condition

Also I think if I need aì necessity to patch it i prefer to understand how to patch by myself if it is possible

Hi Fabio,

Grateful for your work and a few more geniuses who walk here, but in my case, I made a few days ago a new installation with the nmano config.plist (thanks nmano) and not have any problems at start-up or reboots or other issues. Everything is stable and good health with the original bios. Apparently is working like a real Mac and as such, do not feel the need to change anything for now. But of course, it is always a hypothesis to consider!

Obrigado.

By the way, a question!

According my CPU (signature), as I should correctly set this area for the CPU in Clover? Should I get put normal speed, or the turbo speed? Can anyone give me a hand? He is currently working as the picture, but I think that lack more information ...

Obrigado.

For the moment, i have found a good working solution.

Working pretty well now for over one week.

Only jumping frequency in idle not solved, but it´s a problem with the Bios . Same problems without EIST in Windows.

Now working on a one patch solution, and give it to some people for testing.  :)
