X99 Mac osx 10.13

First of all you'll need to have Install macOS 10.13 Beta.app in your Applications folder.

Then, you'll need to right click it and then go to Show Package Contents/Contents/Shared Support and from there mount InstallESD.dmg.

Once mounted there you'll find Packages folder and inside Core.pkg.

Double click Core.pkg and this will install macOS to desired partition, SSD or HDD.

Once done, mount BaseSystem.dmg and then copy System/Library/CoreServices/boot.efi and paste it to the same location System/Library/CoreServices/boot.efi   on the installed drive.

Boot it with your existing Clover and in few seconds you'll reach desktop screen.

Thank you. Clover team and Apple ALC and others naveedamad,

Nvidia GT- 610 works oN Yosemite and El Capitan but it does not work on Sierra, Nvidia GT-710 works on Sierra out of the box

Guys:

Really will appreciate help on my Build. After 4 days fighting to Install sierra on my Mackintosh I found this post. My system is currently running "El Capitan" with and old GT Nvidia card from a MacPro 1.1. I have a brand new EVGA GeForce1050 Ti that I am trying to add to the system that require Sierra at the minimum. So far I tried all kind if Guidelines and could not get the USB installer pas the initial stage (Apple Logo Freeze) or Continuous reboot loop. My Hardware is as follow:

I have the following hardware:

ASRock X99E-itx/ac using a Intel 6800K

RAM Corsair 16 GB * 2 Sticks (revenge led 32GB total)

SSD Samsung 266 NVE Install

EVGA GeForce 1050 Ti 4 GB

Custom Water cooling system

After all recommended settings in BIOS, I tried boot, but unfortunately without success.

What's wrong?

Could you please help me with right setup and just desperate?

Thanks!

I am attaching My IoReg and also my 2 EFI Folders (HD El Capital and USB Sierra)

Hi nmano,

Is there any different with configuring Xeon E5 v4, on Sierra?

I'm using a E5-2648L v4, with the configs from your guide, but it seems the CPU power management is not engaged.

Although in ioreg, the pm are loaded, but the CPU freq/power stay at max. The AppleIntelInfo shows only one p-state(max).

Thanks!

I was using the configs you provided for 12.6, but still got machdep.xcpm.mode: 0.

Does the SSDT matter? Because ssdtprgen.sh does not support my CPU, I added those value manually to generate this ssdt.

Also, I saw the long thread you had with pikeralpha on github. You also had the xcpm.mode=0 with your 2699.

Did you figure it out in the end?

Hi

take a look to this thread (it is xeon V4 related)

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/316516-macos-sierra-on-broadwell-eep-not-a-guide-but-maybe-a-working-in-progress/page-1

you have also specify whic osx version you are using

Sorry bud, but my knowledge of this OS stops at 10.12.3. I'm no longer using it due to its overall instability. I suggest that if you're not going to use or plan on using Mac OS specific software, and you don't want Windows, then look into Linux. It's what I've been running for several months now and it's been perfect my needs. If you are going to use Mac OS software, then either stick with El Capitan or else you'll be on your own and expect months of learning, understanding, researching and tinkering to get Sierra to work (no guarantees of stability). This community is a great place for learning/sharing if you do decide to try Sierra; but, if that sounds like too much work, then look into a VMware solution (it'll be stable, but expect slower performance due to hardware/software limitations).

I edit freqVectors 3400 to 4300

X86PlatformPlugin.kext/Contents/Resources/

Replace: /System/Library/Extensions/IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns//Resources

The target plist (example: Mac-F60DEB81FF30ACF6.plist for the MacPro6,1) is selected based on the used board-id.

Try Pike R. Alpha /freqVectorsEdit.sh then replace this file.

Thanks pike.

Could you explain better what this modify plist can do?

This below I mean...

Thank you

<key>Frequencies</key>
		<dict>
			<key>3400</key>
			<integer>0</integer>
			<key>3500</key>
			<integer>1</integer>
			<key>3600</key>
			<integer>2</integer>
			<key>3800</key>
			<integer>3</integer>
			<key>3900</key>
			<integer>4</integer>
			<key>4100</key>
			<integer>5</integer>
			<key>4300</key>
			<integer>6</integer>
		</dict>

Apple FrequencyVectors only supported Frequencies High is 4100

Still they don’t support FrequencyVectors 4300

My system I overclock to 4300

Thats why we need edit.

Thanks for your help!

I meant I did the frequencyvectors script, replacing macpro6,1 with imac17,1 or imac14,1. But same result... no xcpm...

I started to thinking what did I do wrong with my installation. I've been using hackintosh for 5 years and installed over 5 machines.

This is the first server system I've been using.

The motherboard is C612(Supermicro x10sra), with a Intel Xeon E5-2648L v4.

Is this similar to your system?

If you have time, could you please take a look at my clover configs? There are multiple config, but the one I'm using is config_test.plist.

Please note I disabled all the kerneltopatch except "xpcm performance fix 1".(I've tried enabled all those patches).

Also attached the appleintelinfo output.

Even I updated the freqVector(tried different models), I still got this from kernel log:

Find on pikeralpha github frequencyvevtors.sh script
Download it
Run terminal window and drag & drop script on it
Follow instructions and choose 14.1 or 17.1 in list you should see as option
Till process end you have to reboot
Now you should have xcpm=1 if you do not have other problem in your sierra installation

Hi Fabiosum,

Unfortunately the config you provided didn't work out either.. thanks anyway!

I was thinking about SSDT and freqvectors.

After running the freqVectorsEdit.sh, I noticed the Mac-[boardid].plist don't have the stepcontextdict any more. But according to some google search, piker said sending stepper requires the stepcontextdict. However, from the update log of freqVectorsEdit, I found Piker intentionally removed the stepcontextdict since one version... I'm just confused..

The second thing is, the ssdtPrGen doesn't support my CPU(e5-2648L v4). I added the parameter in "user defined.cfg". Will this generate a functional ssdt?

Hi geeti,

In my opinion you are doing something wrong

first of all try to have only one config.plist in your clover folder and named config.plist

In my and others users testing many configs there could create some problems

Then try to run from terminal this command and put here its output:

kextstat

I try to attach a clover folder for you bu I don't know well all your system config , you should add it in your signature to help people helping

With some clover version if I had multiple config in clover folder I had strange mixing data config beahviour

Your system could not start only with performance fix as the only kernel patch

Then you have to verify if you have installed nullcpupm kext in your installation (I don't know how you did it)

and other things

If you have a solid backup you can try clover folder I attached here in few minutes from now!

Maybe you have an AMD gfx so I have not touched some parts

I have also deleted fakecpuid that it is not needed if you have some kernel patches set in your config

verify if you have nullcpuPM kext installed in S/L/E or in L/E

if you have, delete it and rebuild cache/permissions with kext utility
