Well, the current issues don't seem to be related. In my opinion we should wait for the final release and see what Apple is actually going for. I can't imagine they have a bitmap to enable and disable rootless features and yet remove all options. :)

Hey Download-Fritz.
I understand waiting until release but I'm just reporting on what I'm seeing and for now Pikes changes allow me to boot El Capitan with system file protection in place, and still run a complete DarwinDump. If Apple have put in place the current set of features then I don't see them removing them now.

This is just the first stage.. It will get worse. The PDF I attached shows that when in full effect they will not allow loading of any unsigned kexts and they have notified developers of this change and they too are also concerned about it.

What kind of changes did you apply? If it's the CSR flags Pike talked about, these don't seem to fix the issue (I didn't try myself but heard reports).

Someone already set nvram at boot time?

Not sure if I’m testing right but this is what I’ve tried.

on my iMac, booting in to Recovery HD and setting SIP to disabled sets nvram var csr-active-config to %g%00%00%00 which is 67 00 00 00
67 in binary = 01100111
I take it these bits relate to the CSR flags?

If I run the following from an older version of OS X, in this case 10.7

sudo nvram csr-active-config="%67%00%00%00"

then UEFI boot Clover, select El Capitan DP4 to boot without caches and with injected kexts.

Boot fails with verbose showing

Not entitled to link kext ‘org.netkas.FakeSMC’Failed to load executable for kext for kext org.netkas.FakeSMC/…

If I set rootless=0

So I have to agree with Download-Fritz when he says the kext loading issue does not seem related to the csr settings.

added missing nvram var name 'car-active-config' to 2nd para for what iMac sets.

You can still boot DP4 with Clover using kernelcache, this is problem with kext injection.

I don't know about anyone else or if its a hack thing but the SIP in recovery or the Security Configuration.app don't work for me, both still error.

My 10.11 recovery HD didn't boot here as I get some invalid message.. (can't remember exactly what it was). I haven't tested it since. Will try again though..

Any idea about the Public Beta 2 build? Is it identical to DP4? Will it have the same issue? If no one tried that, I'm willing to, if you guys think it's worth it. I'll have to find it first lol. :))

I am on the public beta 2 build, the issues are identical to DP4.

You can still boot DP4 with Clover using kernelcache, this is problem with kext injection.

My 10.11 recovery HD didn't boot here as I get some invalid message.. (can't remember exactly what it was). I haven't tested it since. Will try again though..

Can boot Recovery HD here, i don't think is updated with DP4.
