I used kext wizard before, but that did not manage and update the ExceptionList. With kext utility, my patched kext was installed correctly, so AGPM fired up and inititalized my card. However, apart from that nothing seems to be different. I still get the PM bug, and still no proper sleep.

Well, what can I do now? Still not sure if the sleep prob is actually USB related, but I do not know how to debug this. So I think I still need an ACPi expert here, or at least an unmodified R4E DSDT dump (with the older rev) so that I can compare it to my DSDT.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

What do you mean by "full fix mask"? The default one or actually a mask with ALL switches on? Well, I can try that but based on my former tests, adding fixes made the behavior even worse in most cases (or did not change anything). Default setting I already tried, make things worse. Until now it works "best" with no fixes at all. And I already showed above that some of these fixes might even be incorrect ones for my DSDT (which _might_ be different due to newer X79 rev). So if I know what fixes I should exactly activate, I will gladly test that.

Okay, I found your post about AddProperties. With this I got "hda-gfx" in my GFX0 section, yay! But I still don't get HDMI audio from my Radeon 7850, although the connector types are correct in the IOReg.

When looking at my DSDT I don't see any HDAU device (I've only got HDEF), which is probably the reason why HDMI audio still fails. I have set the FIX_DISPLAY DSDT fix, which is supposed to add that, but HDAU is simply not there. Anything else I could do about that?

This morning I had a problem with reboot, black screen and fans on, I have everything to do with this problem in my config.plist .... so I am not convinced this UEFI mode ...

Ps: i have try also Evoreboot kext ....mhmm does not solve the problem

Backlight Display (r2464) (Worked on Previous r2444)

Hi, i have an has well Laptop with HM87 Chipset… The (UX301LA)

On r2464 my Display is not a Backlight Display anymore? No Brightness Settings etc… avaible…

Is that a Bug, or is sth Changed?

Its not new, was before too… Im not sure, maybe it’s my DSDT… Any Help is Welcome!

Yes, but nothing special, that has todo with graphics or display...

i modify my dsdt for any fixes, and don't use clover for that...

You can enable debug.log as magnifico suggested by setting Boot/Log=true in config.plist, it will appear in EFI\CLOVER\misc if it exists. Or press F2 in clover to get preboot.log in same location. Or use Console utility app in desktop and look at CloverEFI logs. Or /Library/Logs/CloverEFI/boot.log or newest one by timestamp.

@magnifico, you're not giving enough information but the problem is probably your dsdt, does windows restart and such fine? But nothing else does?

no apianti ....black screen only and fan only on...for work aonly reset...

i dont use DSDT in ACPI/Patched

but only fix mask

and use this

if you try the above config, remove your dsdt... you can use clover to fix some things, or dsdt... if you use an unpatched dsdt, that doesnt works :-)

Your config.plist looks almost OK. As far as I am concerned, but...

1. if no DSDT is present in EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched it should be named BIOS.aml in config.plist

2. According to the Clover WiKi - drop tables should be added in the ACPI/SSDT section not ACPI/DSDT.

I did a clean install, Clover still works fine on EFI partition. Only problem is that I'm missing the RC Scripts for OS X partition so nvram doesn't work. Is there any other way to reinstall those so I don't have to reinstall Clover

Use installer -> Customize. Check RC scripts only
