  1. Clover General discussion

    Hi Robert, Hope you are well and happy. I use slide=100 as per Dmazar's original recommendation. These days with OS X 10.10.5, 10.11.PB5 and Windows 10, the only Kext I install is FakeSMC and Pikers 1150 sound. In the case of 10.11 I choose not to allow Clover to insert kexts instead use any non apple or modded kext in L/E which works fine for me and most things like sleep etc just works. I choose not to use any boot arg apart from slide=100 in order that S/L/E is as Apple intends. 2. [UEFIPatch] UEFI patching utility

    Hi CodeRush - thanks for the great work here. My intention was to unlock the BIOS Nvram although I am using Dmazar's Clover Aptiofix to boot which works fine as does OS X iMessage - thanks for your valuable input there. Mhhh not far off being a noob, but I think i have patched my Asus Z87 Deluxe Dual Bios using win8.1, the only concern I have although the patched BIOS appears to be working fine but I see an invalid region error (only in UEFI tools) which UEFIPatch appears to have ignored and updated the BIOS blocks OK during the Windows8.1 process. It still all works which is a relief. This is a screenshot http://d.pr/i/AqHa I see no BIOS errors on reboot. This is the original Asus BIOS file.Z87-DELUXE-DUAL-ASUS-2004.CAP.zip and this is the supposedly patched bios.bin.patched bios.bin.patched.zip I would be grateful when you have the time to please check that it has completed it ok. I am assuming. 1. it has all worked as planned. 2. It hasn't worked at all and I am not aware that it is still running an unmodded BIOS. Just need some clarification from an expert as which is the more likely. Thank you again.
  3. Yosemite Handoff & bcm4352.kext EDIT: I have taken the advice of Skvo over at appellate.ru and I will get the Broadcom BCM94360CD plus a PCIe mini to PCIe adapter and use that for BT & WiFi as googling indicates its fully compatible with OS X Yosemite without the need for kext patching.

    Empire EFI = bad taste. Such a change is purely cosmetic, and surely a low priority?

    Thanks cVad/Kozlek and all - appreciated.

    I am referring to the official Clover WIKI in the link you provided - read it again....!

    @christ1111 Your config.plist looks almost OK. As far as I am concerned, but... 1. if no DSDT is present in EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched it should be named BIOS.aml in config.plist 2. According to the Clover WiKi - drop tables should be added in the ACPI/SSDT section not ACPI/DSDT. ... <key>ACPI</key> <dict> <key>ResetAddress</key> <string>0xCF9</string> <key>ResetValue</key> <string>0x06</string> <key>DSDT</key> <dict> <key>Name</key> <string>BIOS.aml</string> <key>HaltEnabler</key> <true/> <key>SlpSmiAtWake</key> <true/> <key>Debug</key> <false/> <key>DropOEM_DSM</key> <false/> <key>Fixes</key> <dict> <key>NewWay_80000000</key> <true/> <key>FixDarwin_0002</key> <true/> <key>FIX_RTC_20000</key> <true/> <key>DeleteUnused_400000</key> <true/> <key>FIX_TMR_40000</key> <true/> <key>AddIMEI_80000</key> <true/> <key>FIX_INTELGFX_100000</key> <true/> <key>FIX_WAK_200000 </key> <true/> <key>FIX_ADP1_800000</key> <true/> <key>AddPNLF_1000000</key> <true/> <key>FIX_S3D_2000000</key> <true/> <key>FIX_ACST_4000000</key> <true/> <key>AddDTGP_0001</key> <true/> <key>FixShutdown_0004</key> <true/> <key>AddMCFG_0008</key> <true/> <key>FixHPET_0010</key> <true/> <key>FakeLPC_0020</key> <true/> <key>FixIPIC_0040</key> <true/> <key>FixSBUS_0080</key> <true/> <key>FixDisplay_0100</key> <true/> <key>FixIDE_0200</key> <true/> <key>FixSATA_0400</key> <true/> <key>FixFirewire_0800</key> <false/> <key>FixUSB_1000</key> <true/> <key>FixLAN_2000</key> <true/> <key>FixAirport_4000</key> <false/> <key>FixHDA_8000</key> <true/> </dict> </dict> <key>SSDT</key> <dict> <key>DropTables</key> <array> <dict> <key>Signature</key> <string>DMAR</string> </dict> <dict> <key>Signature</key> <string>SSDT</string> <key>TableId</key> <string>CpuPm</string> </dict> <dict> <key>Signature</key> <string>SSDT</string> <key>TableId</key> <string>Cpu0Ist</string> </dict> </array> <key>UseSystemIO</key> <true/> <key>DropCpuPm</key> <false/> <key>Latency</key> <integer>67</integer> <key>PluginType</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>MinMultiplier</key> <integer>7</integer> <key>DropOem</key> <true/> <key>EnableC2</key> <false/> <key>EnableC4</key> <false/> <key>EnableC6</key> <true/> <key>EnableC7</key> <true/> <key>Generate</key> <dict> <key>CStates</key> <true/> <key>PStates</key> <true/> </dict> </dict> </dict> ...

    Hi Pene, CVad has produced an application named Kext Utility, that auto updates OSKextSigExceptionList. For users on 10.9.2 beta it is necessary to update the plist as advised by Pene, something similar here works fine without errors but a warning, as the stock one has info for the dual MacPro GPUs. WARNING - Invalid signature -67030 0xFFFFFFFFFFFEFA2A for kext "/System/Library/Extensions/AppleKextExcludeList.kext" WARNING - Invalid signature -67030 0xFFFFFFFFFFFEFA2A for kext "/System/Library/Extensions/AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext" kext com.Accusys.driver.Acxxx 300029000 is in exception list, allowing to load As long as we see the "allowing to load" we are OK... It works fine. Also worthy of note is that Kozlek latest FakeSMC has been updated to 6.0.1.1065 which adds some of the "missing keys for MacPro6,1

    That IS a lot, do not pay one cent... as it is against the spirit of this hobby. Fine if like some who are too busy to learn and just want a cheap mac at a price, but paying him does not guarantee success anyway... I have had no experience of a dual processor mother board and personally do not know of anybody with one, and could not begin to help you. I am only happy when I can verify myself what I am doing. Let's hope there is somebody out there who can help you more now that your request is clearer. Good luck... EDIT.... Have you seen this thread, its your motherboard. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/287168-mufasa-dual-6-core-xeon-hackintosh/

    Ahh you mean the dual processor one. EVGA Classified SR-2 - DUAL LGA 1366 Intel 5520 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HPTX Motherboard (270-WS-W555-A2) That is a very special MB and perhaps there are those out there who can help. To be truthful you might want a specialist website, if you have no luck here, try http://rampagedev.wordpress.com , as he specialises in X79 and uses Chameleon but he will likely be able to suggest a source of information for you.

    Without more details and a signature you will likely wait a long time for help

    Frankly I am very happy with the MacPro6,1/10.9.2 pstates, I see 8 as well but they are evenly balanced following Pikes advice which is a first for me. Graphics still likely an issue as is FakeSMC with missing keys. We have to appreciate that 10.9.2 is beta and hopefully they will release an update when they eventually return to work following the Xmas/NY holidays... Jan 5 12:56:43 MacPro kernel[0]: AICPUPMI: CPU P-States [ 8 17 34 36 39 42 43 45 ] EDIT... The real test is the power consumption which using 10.9.2 averages 62W over a 24 hour period compared to over 70W with 10.9.1. One also has to bear in mind that pstates were designed to conserve battery life, and to see 8 is pretty good considering a real iMac only has three period. EDIT2. Pike's latest AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementInfo.kext gives a different and I would think rather crazy output, the original above is what HW Monitors shows me as working. If you want more pstates try his latest. 15. Mavericks 10.9.2 Released to Dev

    Hi Thanks a lot, it was not just that but on starting FaceTime it would immediately crash. I have completely reinstalled 10.9.2 and the problem has disappeared - FaceTime works fine.
