Clover v5125 destroyed my boot process.

Did you create and fill with proper values the Quirks section in config.plist ?

@everyone to avoid having main BS  partition in Clover menu, use this (or compile last commit) : CloverX64-RELEASE_GCC53-2020-10-20-22-44-34-d17d02b-dirty-jief.zip

EliteBook gen 5 = gray screen and mouse pointer is just that

Envy Recline 23 gen 4 = ditto

Lenovo ThinkCentre M93 Desktop gen 4 gtx 760 = erreur Dis5 Bloqued

I haven't tested it with Opencore to see if the Beta10 installer is working but I'll test it!

since I upgraded BS to beta 10 (using OC 063) on my Z370 hack I can't even start it anymore; while with the previous beta 9 Clover could start it without any problems
i'll leave debugging for developers

Clover revision: 5125 (master, commit 982a43f3e)

new debug.log

What is the best way of building the latest clover commit? I’m trying buildme XCODE8 and I’m getting an error saying that “File/Directory not found in workspace /Volume/MacHDD/User/CloverBootloader/OpenCorePkg/Platform/OpenCore/OpenCoreLib.inf”

Git clone —recurse-submodules https://github.com/CloverHackyColor/CloverBootloader.git

Then

./buildme

yes I took the config.sample.plist and put imac 18.3 and it gives me this screen, I don't know which option to choose in the config.plist for clover 5125

it works very well with clover 5123

has anyone successfully started a KABY LAKE desktop system with clover 5125 ??

config.plist

You can’t just use the sample config. You need to use it to edit your config.plist

Use it as an example to edit yours and make the needed changes.

Of course the sample won’t work because it’s not setup for your system.

yes I modify it by taking the quirks configuration for kaby lake from opencore and I put the smbios which corresponds to an imac with i7-7700 processor so imac 18.3

but i cant find what was changed between clover 5123 and 5125 and what new parameters used

Upload your 5123 config and your 5125 config (remove serials etc) for checking.

After building latest clover commitment, updated clover efi folder and tried to boot BS beta 10 from Preboot. It booted well with wifi card fully functional (loaded HS80211Family kext from clover efi folder since device properties and DSDT configuration I had in OpenCore did not sit well in BS Beta 10 when booting through clover).

Try this one.

config.plist

it works better with big beta 9, but not with big beta 10
I will test by putting my beta 9 partition to beta 10 tomorrow to be sure that it is not my system that is corrupted thank you

@Jief_Machak I've a problem with your zip file: can't boot at all. All works fine if I compile myself the last commit d17d02b. Only BigSur - Data via Preboot, in Clover menu (BigSur is the name of my  hard disk, of course). I think the labels should be changed in the future and replaced with simpler ones.

When i launch this command, i get error on opencore folder. i sudgest to deleted the forlder then on the git code take the version and set into CloverBootLoader folder.

Huh ? No idea... I've sent a lot of efi zipped lately. They all worked as expected... Let's see the next time.

Before recurse-submodules, it's 2 dash ("-"), not a long dash.

Do not worry. I think it's a decompression problem: the efi file is contained in several folders, which was not the case the other times.

fixed my problems with BS beta 10 and Clover 5125

Check that in the Config --> GUI --> hide

the preboot entry must not be present

this last clover only does the preboot boot partition in the gui and hides the main

If you have OC and with it starts but with Clover goes to KP or freezes, carefully check to have the quirks set in the same way

only one can make the difference between starting or falling short

200% right. Everyone, remove this.

Reminder : since few version, redundant Preboot (only happens for version previous BS) partition are automatically hidden.

Any ideas on how to set a custom entry for the Preboot volume? It looks ugly on the boot screen.

at the moment no idea sorry; the names I affix to BS are to make me 4 laughs with friends of macOS86it :D

I'm more focused on making Clover 5125 work everywhere.
Yesterday after having fixed several configs to be able to start all versions of MacOS on my AMD X570, I have to understand why during testing with the last commits of Clover, I suddenly disappeared the prebbot partition, so if I use the last Clover, I have no voice in the Clover GUI. Also I would like to try to upgrade BS beta9 to beta 10 using Clover as boot loader and not OC 063

@chris1111 I don't how many drive you have. For BigSur, main partition are now hidden, and recovery BS partition are not yet supported.

If other partition are hidden, it's a bug, of course. I'm still working on that, improving the name and the label, but you can send me your debug.log (PM if you want).
