is there anyone who use full! audio in&out with leopard(10.5.1)?

i have only stereo out and just 1 mic input working.

what should i do?

Find this package ALC888Audio.mpkg , go install it and select customize install, then select 3ports+digital....

That is what I have on my system....works without problems.

This ALC driver should be on this forum, use search...

Guys, I need some help:

I´ve installed Leo4All and everythings but graphic card 1600xt works fine. I used the natit driver and now I have monitor´s native resolution (1680x1050) but I don´t have QE/CI and when I check in 'About this mac', the system says that there is no monitor plugged in the graphic card.

I noticed that the graphics are bit slow (such as screensaver).

I´m lost...what can I do to make the graphic card work 100%?

Thanks!

I just installed on my system last night, so far I'm very pleased! still have one niggling issue though...

But first, the specs!

GA-965P-DS3

ATI X1950XTX (PCI-E)

Two SATA HDDs plugged into purple ports

IDE DVD drive

IDE Hard drive

Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD booted and installed just fine, though it took awhile (I just left it overnight). Sound works with the 888 installer mentioned at the top of this thread. Video works with the modified Nvidia kext listed in the HCL. So far so good.

But I tried plugging in my external USB HDD today, and it doesn't appear. Nothing. Works fine in Vista, but i don't even get a dmesg entry on the Mac side. My other USB devices work fine (USB2 video cam, mouse).

I had a look at the system information, and it seems to believe that there are no SATA devices installed. That's fine, since I set the purple ports to IDE mode I wouldn't expect them to appear... but I do have a USB-to-SATA bridge listed under USB. Is it possible that the drive requires this bridge, but SATA isn't working properly so the drive doesn't show up?

Any other ideas?

UPDATE:I found this thread which helped me out on the USB problem. Now I think all is good, but I'd like to try some speed or video card tests. anyone care to recommend any?...sorry for the board spam.Well, I just tried glxgears, and only got 261fps. That's not cool - I guess it's not using the hardware accelleration at all. Recommendations?

ok, 10.5.3 problems are driving me nuts. I know I just said I had no problems, but... here's the deal.

Everything worked great for awhile. I had Kalyway 10.5.2 with the USB fix linked earlier in this thread, and I did the combo update. I found that after the update, my system couldn't enter S3 sleep. So I followed instructions on this thread to replace a handful of AHCI related kexts with the 10.5.2 versions. Huzzah! My system could sleep now!

But it stopped recognizing USB drives. This is a problem, because almost all of my data is on an external hard drive. What's more, the AHCI fix only worked for one boot! Now it's back to being unable to enter S3 sleep, unable to complete a shutdown (though console log shows that shutdown WAS completed, it couldn't turn the system off), AND oblivious to my USB drive.

Anyone else had a similar problem?

I went from 10.5 => 10.5.4 with no problems. You guys are using the boot-132 method, right?

Sabr,

I'm using the boot-123 method on my GA-965P-S3 and everything works great except Time Machine. It's worked before when I was on 10.5.2 and Kalyway. I keep getting a "The backup volume could not be found" error.

Do you know of any solutions?

Thanks.

i dont see any reason to go for 10.5.3 or 4 atm. i stay at 10.5.2 because it was run for more than 5 months and more stable. only very small problem is the shut down. sometimes it doesnt shutdown properly and i have to manually push the button to make it off.

Time machine and orther stuff dont work becouse you dont have en0 as your network device.

Edit your /System/Library/SPreferences/System Preferences/Nwtwork(wahtever).plist.

replace enx with en0.

Time Machine will work

Im running a fully functional kerberized OSX Server 10.5.4 retail, everything works (realy everything)

including podcast producer, time machine server, RAID 0+1 and XGRID uhuhuhuhuhu.

I'm not sure if I follow you. I checked Library/Preferences/System Configuration/NetworkInterfaces.plist and I see en0, not enx. Is this not the right place? If so would you mind giving me a bit more direction.

Thanks.

By the way, here is what the .plist looks like.

I have a 965p-ds3 rev.1 based system, with 6 gb ram, Palit nvidia 7300gs graphic card ( full working QE/CI and 2 dual screens) , E6400 O.C to 3.12ghz core2duo processor , 9652 rme hamerfall soundcard, Dual boot : Win Xp and Leopard Kalyway 10.5.2 , with Logic pro and lots of plugins, as I am a music producer. I want to make an identical system, and to make it boot from one of the existing Superduper or CCC hard drive clones of the actual system, so that i wouldn't have to reinstall all the software, now that I have all the software properly set up.

But there are some problems : I have found an 965p-ds3 rev3.3, not 1.0, and also one 965p-s3, not ds3 as I already have, one similar video card that I have found is a Leadtek WinFast Px 7300Gs, with same device id as mine, but there are different brands( mine is "palit" , as i said) , and the new soundcard is 9632, not 9652 ( but they have the same driver on the manufacturer site). Also, the

My question is : should I go with exact same components ,in order for the cloned image of the actual system to work with my new, similar component system, or is it possible to put a rev 3.3 instead of rev.1 965p-ds3 and a leadtek 7300 gs, instead of a Palit, and also a q6600 instead of an e6400??

What other graphic cards could work, with the same drivers (nvinstaller v41 ) ?

Thank you so much in advance !

Working (mostly in 10.5.7) here too. Installed iDENEB 10.5.6 fresh, selecting only JMicron ATA, and Marvel 88E8056, and Audio drivers. After install used the iDENEB 10.5.7 patch and rebooted. That knocked out my ethernet for some reason. I had to go into and edit the plist back to 8056 instead of 8053 as documented on here. Repair permissions, then ethernet was back. Then I installed the Nvidia injector and the GTX285 drivers. Success! Now everything works.

Only problem I am having is I can't get the WoW installation to finish and its driving me crazy.

I had the same problem for month and NOW i know what the problem was :)

Do not use any Powermanagement Configurations. Deselect everything there during the Install and it works!
