I have a 5750 that requires adding the devideID to the ATI kext, am I to assume that ATI cards that don't need the edit are working fine? In SL, I used Kabyl's boot file that added ATI support to enable graphics_enabler in Cham. Does the linked version of Cham have the same ATI support? Retell Posted July 21, 2011 Share Posted July 21, 2011 For anyone having problems letting Chameleon target the flash drive, just burn a copy of HackBoot Lion. Sorry, I could have been more clear. Right now I use kabyl's boot file for ATI support in SL. I was wondering if the ATI support was exclusive to his boot file, or if it had been integrated into Cham's trunk? meaning that any recent (Lion compatible?) version of Cham had it as well. Currently on a 5750, and just wondering what would be the best injection method for Lion. XLR Posted July 21, 2011 Share Posted July 21, 2011 For some reason "Extra Lion DP4, GM and FINAL" installer doesn't lets me to chose my USB drive, it skips the "destination select" option and wants to install itself on Macintosh HD only. Does it happens to anyone else? EDIT: nevermind, i've already rescued the necessary files with Pacifist. EDIT2: one more thing, Lion installer's "customize" window is empty, is it normal? Quite often it doesn't see anything else then root hd and sometimes sees the usb flash but it says that it's unable to installa chameleon on it... what's the problem?? The same with extra.. Major props, as I have dual-display (using DVI-VGA adapters on both) for the first time in a long time. ATI Radeon HD 4870 1GB although they're not detecting all resolutions just yet. well, I said things were working... now the drive's not booting at all, I think Chameleon is botched.. but I'm not sure. Kaikz Posted July 22, 2011 Share Posted July 22, 2011 Ignore the windows problem, I repeated the whole Guide and booted from the flashdrive and the same thing happened, see the attached stuck picture BTW this happens seconds after choosing Mac OS X Base System from the Flash Chameleon List Tried booting using cpus=1 and it loaded a lot more lines but it stuck too . I have this issue, too. I have just about the identical HP laptop. dv6 3136tx. Except I have 6GB RAM and a 640GB HDD.
