Acer Aspire 2920z

Everything works fine on my notebook except my webcam, internal mic, and wireless card

I hope you would create a DSDT file for my Aspire 2920z :thumbsup_anim:

From what I have read on this website and other OSX86 forums, the x3100 graphics chipset and the Atheros wireless care may prove problematic for OSX. I hope for you that MaLdOn says otherwise.

my X3100 works great on 10.6.8 32-bit (there's no kext for 64-bit). my problem just on my webcam, it detected on system profiler but I can't use it. the indicator is turned on but it doen't show anything. then I have desperated with my Atheros AR5007, I never get it work since my first time installed hackintosh :thumbsup_anim:

sorry for my english :P

MaLdOn - I have searched and searched the forums here on Insanely Mac, but search terms, "DSDT removal of kexts", "DSDT kexts not required", "DSDT required kexts", "DSDT Vaio kexts", and "DSDT Vaio required kexts" have lead me nowhere fast before I posted on this thread, or since your response. The only thing that has changed since then, is my eyes are strained, and I am about to fall asleep (after midnight now).

If you see fit, I am only asking for advice on which kexts in /Extra/Extensions, if any, might no longer be required after the insertion of the dsdt.aml file in /Extra. A bonus would be if you or anyone else could explain if any of these kexts are causing me the problems with Ethernet or Graphics on this Sony Vaio VGN-AR840E.

are many users every day

I do my part and you guys need to do to you guys

I can not stand using the search forum for each case

is very hard for me

I do edits

just me :thumbsup_anim:

MaLd0n, is there anything DSDT related that can help 10.7.1 go to sleep on my hardware (Below)?

10.7 worked great with sleep / wake, with 10.7.1 the monitor goes blank but the system doesn't power down.

I don't really want to have to resort to using SleepEnabler as people are reporting KP's with 10.7.1

Hello MaLd0n,

Outstanding work on the Autopatcher. I have successfully used it with my GA-z68p-DS3.

One problem remains however. It will not wake up correctly from sleep. When pressing keyboard key the HDD + fans do turn on but I don't get a picture on the screen (the known trick: pressing mouse and keyboard keys twice does not work btw.). I suspect it's DSDT related. Is this something that can be fixed easily?

Thanks in advance! :)

I've attached the DSDT i'm using (extracted under win7 patched in OSX using 0.6 autopatcher)

Specs:

Ga-z68p-ds3

Core i5 2400k

MSI HD6850 Cyclone iGD5

8gb RAM

Lion 10.7.1 (problem also occurred on SL)

I do 90%

you need make the 10% :)

Its sandy bridge. I searched through google and found the attached package.

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry1536134

I installed it and now my processor is recognized. My problem is not to see my cpu name in the "about this mac" dialog box but to see an increase in speed. My mouse pointer is very slow when I use my track pad. Do you suggest any tweaks to increase the speed? (I am using chimera boot loader)

Regarding the audio, I am still working on it.

Yes, you are doing more than 90%. I really appreciate your efforts to help everyone. You are the real asset of this forum.

MaLd0n, for me to test a SleepEnabler.kext would I have to edit the DSDT (I tried and couldn't boot!)?

Even PleaseSleep won't shut the system down so something has definitely changed with 10.7.1 I just don't know where (Yet!).

send me complete files

see the first post

Do I install dsdt manually or with something like #####? After rebooting from hd, getting kernel panic caused by AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement. Summary:

- UpdateHelper (deletes the ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin.kext from IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext plugins folder in System/Library/Extensions).

- Reboot from #####

- ComboUpdate 10.6.8

- #####

- Reboot from hd

- Kp

Or first inject dsdt before updating to 10.6.8 ?

ps: now on retail 10.6.3

MaLdOn,

Here are the dsdt.aml, dsdt.dsl, hwinfo.txt, lspci-vv.txt and lspci.txt files files from my Sony Vaio VGN-AR840E from before modding the BIOS, created in Linux:

Here is the send_me files from my Sony Vaio from after modding the BIOS:

Perhaps you can create DSDT.AML files from both, and apprise what are the differences between the 2 situations.

If possible, please advise what kexts might still be required with the AFTER modding BIOS situation.

Thank you.
