Hei DarwinX you feel like thanking today, I see.

In this case too I agree :)

I know, I must have eaten something weird. Seriously though, let us give praise where it is due as people who dedicate themselves to helping others are scarce in this rapidly deteriorating world of ours.

Hello

Why my FSB is 184MHz not 200MHz?

I have that bug from looong time.

My CPU are T8300 with 200MHz FSB, but Chameleon recognize it as 184MHz and 13 busratio.

With AnVal I can change FSB to 200 and 12 busratio, but sound are cracky, time going slower.

Here is my bdmesg from trunk r861:

Hi guys...

Just leaving a notice for those interested and/or that followed the talk about GraphicsEnabler modules (take this post as a reference);

dev is still going on in my branch. I still can't get my card to work with DSDT patching and after comparing it with what GraphicsEnabler

does, i got to the conclusion that it's the exact same thing  at least when it comes to "legacy" cards.

More news later...

Stay tuned and safe...

Hello,

I have a trouble with last build of trunk or azimut/Chazi, my eeepc does not boot anymore.

It boot, 4 lines on upper left screen appear and reboot.

try with GUI=No but it's the same.

Seems to be be a bug, somebody can confirm that ?

THANKS these installers are really great!

One thing, I boot OpenBSD 4.9 with Chameleon_2.0_RC5_r832.zip and when I use the keyboard arrow to highlight the partition it just stays red, the light does not turn green for OpenBSD, but when I hit enter it boots it...

Hopefully someone can fix this light issue for OpenBSD?

THANKS

Hi Fabio

Thank you so much for all the hard work :) Can you please explain how to use PCI device 00:0.0 ?

Make sure to use PCI device 00:0.0 when reading info from the memory controller, white-space cleanups in dram_controllers.c

Thank you :)

Thank you for replying Fabio :)

Chameleon-2.0-rc5-r877 or 886 is not showing my memory right :) I have DDR3 1600MHz but it's showing DDR3 1079MHz in system profiler.. i know i can change smbios.plist but it was showing it right in older versions without adding anything to smbios.plist. i guess, i have to add that now. Thank you once again..

Well, that means something is broken, can you upload your .ioreg?

hi forum,

thanks for your respsonse.

I tried with #####. Primarily, it didn´t work. Still waiting for root device issue. Fixed it with

AHCI mode in BIOS.

Now, I can´t boot. Same problem as before . The image is blurred or freezes and remains at the grey loadscreen(without the apple). Tried with Graphicsenabler and -f .

Do you have another solution? I have MAcdrive (windows 7) here, so I have access on the Snow Leopard drive. I could delete maybe the chameleon file.

Everything went so well before Only the RC5 is to blame

I tried with -x -f and Graphicds Enabler. It stuck at this point : DSMOS has arrived.

It means, that the video card is not supported? So, ##### still can´t fix it?

Before , I had the RC4 in system panel with different boot options. Is the Rc4 overwritten?

And does ##### ( while booting with CD) ignore the Rc5 on the SNow Leopard drive?Or can I use the Retail DVD, choose Disk Utility and restore/rebuild the partition. Are my files still exist then?

Can someone help?

What happened here?

I used to download Chameleon from the following site: "http://chameleon.osx86.hu"'>http://chameleon.osx86.hu"

When did this all change?

Who runs the "http://chameleon.osx86.hu" site and why don't they update it?

Is the "InsanelyMac" site going to be the new site to download the Chameleon trunk binaries?

The fdisk is not working in the installer for r832, when I try to manually reinstall later it's killing Windows 7 saying BOOTMGR missing when I try to boot Win7.

These are the steps I'm doing;

cd /usr/standalone/i386/

sudo /usr/standalone/i386/fdisk -f boot0 -u -y /dev/rdisk0

sudo dd if=boot1h of=/dev/rdisk0s3

sudo cp boot /

sudo /usr/standalone/i386/fdisk -e /dev/disk0

f 3

write

y

exit

So if in these installers is the modded fdisk, then why is this killing Win7 for me telling me the BOOTMGR is missing, what's wrong with those cmds I'm running?

I've also tried to recover with the Win7 dvd and it says it can't repair it and running the bootsec cmds /fixmbr /fixboot /rebuildbcd don't do anything either, I can't get it to reboot after running the cmds above. :)

Can someone please change the fdisk if it's the one that is suppose to work in /usr/standalone/i386 and rename it to fdisk440 so we'll know?

THANKS

P.S.

I read somewhere that I should instead do

sudo /usr/standalone/i386/fdisk -f boot0hfs -u -y /dev/rdisk0

Use the boot0hfs and keep the Win partition active?

It's the official original Chameleon site for the fully developed Chameleon 2 RC4. InsanelyMac is a platform for further Chameleon development featuring the ongoing and multifaceted approach to various functions and structures of said Chameleon currently standing at v2.0-RC5 r896.

I've experienced the same using recent Chameleon binaries and now my utterly useless Windows 7 is unwilling to boot or be repaired.

To repair windows boot with win7 dvd, the windows partition must be the "active" one.

The modded fdisk was renamed "fdisk440" to avoid confusion, but it seems there's still some...

i don't see it on the latest bin package posted by Fabio?! (didn't checked the installer for it).

The project is hosted here; you can also find it on the package i host (follow Chameleon link on my sig).

p.s.: the fdisk440 found on my sig is the same has the one posted here by Zef; it's a universal binary compiled

under Leo so it can even be used on a ppc Mac. The fdisk440 compiled under Snow will not work on older systems!

UPDATE: fdisk440 was added to Chameleon trunk (r920) and fixed to work properly under Leo/Tiger

when compiled under Snow. This will produce a binary with i386/x86_64 only so, if someone needs it to

use on a ppc Mac (e.g. to perform a installation on an external disk), it will need to compile it from the

original project or get the one posted by Zef.

Thanks to Merklot for this ;)
