try downgrade it to 9 if not work make new install ;)

no need for this utilty as program dont crashes

iTunes 9 didn't work either...

By the way, I tried this kernel before, and iTunes worked perfectly!

I fixed the permissions again and....IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!

Thanks a lot for your patience Mohamed, it's thank to you if now I'm able to run a 64 bit osx.

Running applications in 64 bit was very important to me, because I use photoshop a lot, which is MUCH faster!

Thanks again!

edit: nvm found ur topic about the 5770 ..if i run into a problem can u help me then?

If you have an Nvidia graphics card, I suggest you use EFI strings.

It's a nice, clean solution that does not depend on kernel extensions. Simple, too.

I have a PC with the following specs:

AMD Phenom II X6 1055T

Gigabyte 890GA-UD3H

Nvidia GeForce GTS 250

I'm trying to install using the second way.

When booting up the installer, there is no kernel panic.

However, the installation is always stuck with a cursor, followed by a pinwheel, on a grey screen.

I've left the installation overnight and nothing happens, its just stuck.

Screenshot: http://i52.tinypic.com/in7qko.jpg

I've tried -x, -f flags to no avail.

Anyone has any idea what causes (and can fix) this problem?

you need to fix permisson

try pfix :)

Sorry, now I'm stuck at this very screen.

Can you please detail instructions about "fixing permission"?

if you use legacy_kernel

just rename new mach_kernel to legacy_kernel and replace it

and there are two bin file black icons copy them to usr/bin

and you may need this flag

busratio=16 arch=i386 -force64
