Thanks, Ok I placed the DSDT.aml in the /Extra folder and the OpenHaltRestart in the /Extra/Extension folder. Still no sleep. I have changed BIOS from Auto to S3 and still no success. Any other suggestions. Thanks in advance. Also when you are completing the install and you click on P6TDeluxeV2Installer.pkg....Doesnt it perform these operation for you. Placing the correct DSDT.aml and the OpenHaltRestart.kext in the correct folder for sleep to work?

/Extra/Extensions/OpenHaltRestart.kext

/Extra/DSDT.aml

Drag the "Extensions" folder on to Kext Utility Icon, enter your password when prompted.

Yes, dgobe's installer does this for you. Use AsusP6TDeluxeV2_boot_132v1.12.7z.zip not v1.13.7 if you want sleep to work.

Dgobe - I used your installer AsusP6TDeluxeV2_boot_132v1.12.7z.zip and also have BIOS set as stated in the photographs in your first post (Asus P6T Deluxe V1 & V2 boot-132 Install Method No Mac Required!) and still have no luck with sleep. I have also tried others suggestions to change BIOS to S3. Still nothing. The monitor will sleep, but the cpu, hard drive, and fans will not. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!

I saw only now this new guide.

Just one word: GREAT !

Thanks to all of you for doing this.

I downloaded and tried now the new boot123 cd and it's simply A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !!!!

Didn't try to install 'cause I've no need now to do it, but tried to make a system disk image with disk utility by booting the original Snow Leo DVD and yes, it worked !

Great. Thanks Dgobe, iFabio and all the crew !

ATTENTION! This update will kill your sound, released Feb 11, 2010

For now the solution is to download the 10.6.2 Combo Update from Apple and extract AppleHDA.kext using Pacifist. Copy the kext to /System/Library/Extensions and repair permissions with Kext Utility. OR, DON'T INSTALL IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!

A temporary solution is also change:in smbios.plist

SMbiosversion

MP31.88Z.006C.B02.0801021250

SMproductname

MacPro3,1

and the kill update no come more... ;)

Other little solution to prevent error (for now work's... maybe no with 10.6.3)

Fabio

Note: The system still work well also the performance are the same.

Hi,

First i would like to thank you again for this nice work and support,

This morning, wen i booted up my computer, i've got a kernel panic about :

pmap_flush_tlbs() timeout: cpu(s) failing to respond to interrups.

My system was running fine for about 2 months, and now i've got this.

I did not do any update or any major modifications...

Any of you have got the same issue ?

THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR SUPPORT :D

Edit--

I'm currently updating my BIOS to 0804, and i use DSDT 3.0 from iFabio

THIS IS JUST A TEST

---------------------------------

Hello everyone!

I did a test curious ...

As you may know January 28th Apple released a new model of Mac the "iMac 27"

with our dear i7 processor now ...

Over the last update Mac Pro Audio Update 1.0 also know as kill update (that I've reversed the AppleHDA.Kext) was also installed inside the system a new IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext with a new file inside... the iMac11_1.plist.

(So make sure you have the same .kext before test you too)

In the test I did I just changed some data in the SMBIOS file.plist

Temperature and stability and performance remain the same as that which I had previously ...

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
 <key>SMbiosdate</key>
 <string>03/12/2010</string>
 <key>SMbiosversion</key>
 <string>IM111.88Z.0034.B00.0910301727</string> <-->
 <key>SMboardproduct</key>
 <string>Mac-F2268DAE</string> <-->
 <key>SMfamily</key>
 <string>iMac</string> <-->
 <key>SMmanufacter</key>
 <string>Apple Inc.</string>
 <key>SMproductname</key>
 <string>iMac11,1</string> <-->
 <key>SMserial</key>
 <string>xxxxxxxx</string>
 <key>SMbusspeed</key>
 <string>4800</string>
 </dict>
</plist>

I think we are close to the recognition of native processor ...

:) Fabio

Thanks iFabio,

I have updated my smbios.plist and now the system stuck on NVDANV50HAL loaded and registered. (This is better thank a kernel panic i think..)

Maybe it's something related to graphics enabler ?

I don't really understand, the system was running fine before....

Edit--

It still kernelpanic.

WTF, i just booted in Windows 7 on my other partition, and now, Snow is working fine ?!

Any ideas why ?

not a clue... searching for "failing to respond to interrupts" came up with two reasons for this KP

memory error or permissions problem.

might be a good time for a long run of memtest

The SL is working fine. However the only problem i have is trying to install Cuda 2.3.1, download from nvidia. It will give me error. Pls help.
From the Cuda download page --> "MacOS X 10.5.6 and later (32-bit)". Are you running in 32-bit mode? The method in this thread defaults to 64-bit.

To boot once in 32-bit type -x32 in Chameleon then boot.

To boot 32-bit all the time add the following to Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist

<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>-x32</string>

Thanks iFabio,

does this fix the "Mac Pro Audio Update" HDA problems after its install?

Or does it prevent the update request on the whole?

Have a fun vacation :(

No, these plist edits won't fix after upgrading, but your mac will stop asking for the upgrade.

To fix the broken audio, use Pacifist to extract the old audio kext from the combo update and put it back into your extensions dir.

Hi,

Could someone please help me, I keep on getting the same error when trying to boot the 132-boot cd:

ISOLINUX 3.84 2009-12-18 ETCDisolinux: Image checksum error, sorry...

Boot failed: press a key to retry...

I tried both of the boot-132 cd's provided in the first post, extracted with 7-zip and burned using infrarecorder. I double checked all the settings for my motherboard. My system is as follows:

- Asus P6T Deluxe V2

- Intel Core i7 920

- Corsair DDR3 6gb

- Ati FireGL V7200

- Samsung SATA dvd drive

- 2 SATA Hard drives

Could it help if I used the Jupiter boot 132 in this topic?

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry1283668

Thanks in advance

The v1.12 package should put the correct files in place for proper sleep operation(I have had sleep problems with M2.3DSDT and OpenHaltRestart.kext). Unplug all unnecessary devices to see if one of them is preventing sleep. Update your BIOS if it's an older one. Also check these settings in System Preferences->Energy

You won't have the UPS section if you don't have one plugged in. Match those settings and see what happens.

@Coen de Winter

The checksum error indicates something got corrupted.

Download the ISO again and try burning with a different program....or use a different computer and disc media if possible.

Which PCIe slot is the one you should use for this build? Or does it matter?

PCIe 2.0 x16_3 slot (black, at max. x8 link)

PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1,0x0)

- Device (PEG1) Name (_ADR, 0x00010000) --> Device (GFX1)

PCIe 2.0 x16_1 slot (blue, at x16 link)

PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x3,0x0)

- Device (PEG3) Name (_ADR, 0x00030000) --> Device (GFX3)

PCIe 2.0 x16_2 slot (white, at x16 link)

PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x7,0x0)

- Device (PEG7) Name (_ADR, 0x00070000) --> Device (GFX7)
