ezeaceto
I have a Lenovo 3000 V100 which is working with ideneb OS X 1.5.5 with Kernel 9.4 (if I'm not wrong) My hardware is: Video Intel 945GM (Working OK) Audio Realtek ALC833 (Working OK) Ethernet Realtek RTL-8139 (working with half duplex, and don't now how to switch to full duplex) Fingerprint reader (not working) Bluetooth 2.0 (working) Firework (not tested) Multimedia Card Reader (not tested) Webcam USB Ali Corp 5602 (not working) Wi.Fi (not working, but I have an external 3COM that works great!) I would like to install ideneb Mac OS X 1.5.6. When I did it, the ethernet card stop working. So I imagine that ideneb OS X 1.5.6 doesn't support this chip. Is this true? How can I "add" the driver? Thanks! Ezequiel Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/151791-ideneb-v14-1056-released/page/8/#findComment-1090158 Share on other sites
svopp2000
Hi! I have posted an error in this part of forum, see my post below. Does any one have any ideas? New info: I installed from scratch again with driver ICHx, Realtek 8111 and ACL889A + seatbeltfix (10.5.5). Installed Voodoo 9.5 after, from other iDeneb 10.5.5 disk. Started the new disk with iDeneb 10.5.6 again and then update via Apple Update. Everything works. Installed iWorks 09, iLife 09 and Logitech Wave keyboard driver. Then "EXEC_BAD_ADDRESS" accurd. Have I missed some driver for this hardware? How do i install a new kernel. Is there any guide that discribe about system cache also, rebuild hardware configuration, as you do with Solaris and /reconfigure... Regards svopp2000 "Is there any solution about "EXEC_BAD_ADDRESS" with voodoo kernel 9.5? Application crashing after installation of this kernel voodoo 9.5 and seatbelt 10.5.5. vador420
Swweeeeet... Ive been pulling my hair out for weeks trying to get my ati hd3650 pcie running with 10.5.6 I have to give a big thank you to the ideneb team. I still can't seem to get the voodoo kernel to work with my setup. But im running 9.2.0 netkas i think and it runs ok. everything in system profiler reads correct. I currently have to run in -x mode to get it to boot in otherwise ive run into graphics issues. maybe the kext will be refined a little more to run correctly. Thanks again!!!! mhendu
Need some help, this is my first try so please be patient. I am trying to install iDeneb v1.4 10.5.6 on a bodged together machine. Motherboard: ECS P965T which as far as I can tell has on board: Lan: Realtek RT8169 Sound: Realtek HD CPU: Intel 6400 PCIe Video: NVidia Quadro NVS 285 When I try installing with defaults it just starts rebooting over and over. I tried to install with the voodoo 9.5.0 kernal with seatbelt fix patch and it just hangs, I tried -f -v -x and it ended with appleACPIPS2Nub startup complete and stops. I've read and reread the instructions that come up, but I think I'm missing something simple. I am on my 8th complete install with different settings, but no success so far. Any help is appreciated. Niros
Hello, I'm having troubles installing it on my laptop, which is an upgraded HP DV6510, with SATA2 Hard drive. During the installation I have no partitions to choose from where to install it, but I can see the drive with it's partitions in the disk manager (All partitions are primary, including the one i've prepared for the MacOSX, but i cannot change anything, cannot verify or repair). On the previous drive it never happened (it was 120GB SATA (not SATA 2 which as I understood is actually IDE with SATA plug) I cannot change in the BIOS to SATA native mode, it's a very basic BIOS. Do you have an Idea how can I install it? P.S. Ubuntu finds the drive and treats it as a SCSI drive. The drive details: Segate 160 GB 7200 RPM, CT: 2AENA0183WB4NR, WWN:5000C5000E7F0A98, SN:5NK15C8F Model: ST9160823AS, PN:9S513G-021 My laptop's config: HP DV6510ej: CPU - Intel Core 2 duo, T7300 (2Ghz) Memory - 2 GB MB - intel mobile 965 GPU - Intel X3100 Sound - ALC 862 HD Thanks, Nir Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/151791-ideneb-v14-1056-released/page/8/#findComment-1094839 Share on other sites
jodo
Thx for this release! m16
This is a OK release. It seems to be a quality operating system and very stable compared to iATKOS v4. However the installer is very buggy. The installer fails for me unless you constantly move the cursor. The progress bar freezes unless it is refreshed by mouse movement... However it is fast. But my ATI 2600XT was not supported... had to install package later. I've had the same problem with several releases. My solution: open up the install log from the menu bar and set it to show all events...worked for me three times now... Syaoran68
has anyone been having issues with USB mass storage devices? i didnt notice this earlier when i was installing v1.4 but just earlier i went to plug in my ipod and i kernel panic'd. i kept the ipod plugged in and did a -v and its getting an error from the iousb controller and the mass storage controller. i tried to plug in my USB stick while osx was up and it did the same thing. i was reading earlier that people had issues with keyboard and mice, but i dont have that issue as i'm using a G11 keyboard and a razer mouse i have and both work fine. the computer has no issues seeing the camera i plug in, so i'm kinda at a wall right now. thanks to anyone with suggestions. Syaoran68
have you tried to boot the installer in -v mode to see whats breaking during the boot up of the installer.. cause i dont think theres a way to change the default kernel for the installer.. heck i didnt even know there was an alternative kernel for the installer... EDIT: dong - the reason your seeing that is its not seeing any HD's when the installer is loading. what kind of hds are you using and what controller do you have them connected to on your motherboard. if you give us some specs your using then we can maybe help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/151791-ideneb-v14-1056-released/page/8/#findComment-1097646 Share on other sites
