toxicpiano Posted September 11, 2008 Share Posted September 11, 2008 I'm using 1632 and I tried to run Simcity4 and it tells me that the app 'isn't supported on this architecture' (note that I have spore on my 07 imac and it works perfectly, and sc4 worked before). This is using the full version of spore cider or version 1632. Any ideas? Sh33m4 Posted December 26, 2008 Share Posted December 26, 2008 AznCQ, counter-striek source and counter-striek 1.6 work, but some text display how - http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=796867 I can't fix it now I've had this problem with Half-Life 2 but that's the same engine so the solution should be the same: You need to find two files: ClientScheme.res and SourceScheme.res (for Half-Life 2 they were in hl2 > Resource... not sure about CS: Source but you should find them). Inside both of these files you have to find the section that looks something like this: { "name" "Courier New" "tall" "10" "weight" "500" "antialias" "1" } There are lots of segments like this but some of them are missing the "antialias" "1" bit. I'm not exactly sure to which parts you need to add this so I just added it to all the fonts... and the silly red stuff was gone... It was quite similar for CS 1.6 but I don't remember which .res files you have to edit there...The ClientScheme.res shold be the same and instead of SourceScheme.res there was a different file... Boot Camp failed on my Macbook, twice it erased the OSX partition, the first time it was installed by an Apple Genius. What a mess. The virtual machine i have set up doesn't have the power to run any game. So how would i use Cider to wrap, say, Assassins Creed? I have a ciderized version of Borderlands already and it works really well, but i want to know if i'd be able to use DLC's and the 1.30 patch with it. How would I install those? I'm new to Cider so i don't really know much about it, but i do have a lot of technical experience with macs. Any way you could post a beginners guide?
