For the love of everything make sure you BACK UP FIRST

@yan.kun

Got a DL link for the package? I just need the delta update:)

There are TWO updates this time!

1)The delta update lets you update from Mac OS X 10.5.2 to 10.5.3

2)The combo update lets you update from Mac OS X 10.5, 10.5.1, or 10.5.2 to 10.5.3

follow this:

http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...c=87078&hl=[How+to]+Install+10.5.2+Update+[TUTORIAL]

updating now, will report back in a few!

I also rewrote it in the tuts section just so the noobs don't go crazy asking and looking.

Did not work for me:(

After running update, kext helper could not log in as root. WTF?

So I installed the two kext's manualy and repaired permissions with DU, and upon restart I got the loving hold down your power button screen.

I used the combo update.

Gma950

intel core solo

Vaio notebook

I am reinstalling for another try.

I installed this update by attaching Hard Drive to Another running copy of 10.5

from there installed ,make sure to select the right drive

after installing ,do post patching as usual

best method of backing up???

Asus P5B Deluxe

G.Skill DDR2 800 2GB - F2-6400-CL4D-2GBPK

Vista Home Premium On HD 1

Kalyway 10.5.2 and 9.2 Kernel On Partition on HD 2

TimeMachine Partition on HD 2

Um. #1: Go buy another hard drive. Having your Leopard install on the same physical drive as your TimeMachine makes it useless in the case of drive failure, your #1 enemy. Put it on another drive, but back up your kexts (/System/Library/Extensions) separately on a folder on your Leopard drive. Follow the instructions linked by others above and you should be ok.

Works fine on Dell Latitude D620 (Intel GMA950).

Had to back up 4 kexts before upgrade

1. AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext

2. AppleSMBIOS.kext

3. AppleACPIPlatform.kext

4. AppleHDA.kext

Upgrade using Netkas method.

Before rebooting, restore the 4 kexts above and reboot. Works perfectly.
