  1. Mavericks Realtek ALC AppleHDA Audio

@Toleda Thanks to you, I have been getting Audio on Mavericks until 10.9.4 with my Asus P6X58D-E motherboard with ALC889 Codec I see that you have moved away from releasing 889.zip and instead released a universal script audio_realtekALC-90_v2.command.zip. However there is a problem when I use this to patch my 10.9.5 AppleHDA. Please see the session info below when I run the script. Can you please advice what I am doing wrong as the codec is recognised correctly but then says it is not supported and does not patch the kext. Thanks bluto:~ gujal$ /Users/gujal/Downloads/audio_realtekALC-90_v2.command ; exit; Agreement The audio_BRIX-NUC-90_v1 script is for personal use only. Do not distribute the patch, any or all of the files or the resulting patched AppleHDA.kext for any reason without permission. The audio_BRIX-NUC-90_v1 script is provided as is and without any kind of warranty. File: audio_realtekALC-90_v2.command_v2.0.3 Confirm Realtek ALC889 (y/n): y Audio ID: 889 is not supported, continue (y/n):
  2. Help to a stupid..

Boot with a -x option to see if it will start in VGA mode
  3. Black-Screen After installation

You have to boot with -s flag (not -v). This will give you the command prompt where you can go and delete the Graphics Kexts.
  4. If you are running Windows 7, then you need to setup a registry entry. Open Regedit, drill down to: HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation and create a new DWORD entry named ‚ÄúRealTimeIsUniversal‚ÄĚ. Set the value to 1. Reboot the system and the clock will work correctly in both Windows and OS X
  5. Little Past Problem...

Windows will have startup issues after installing an other OS. All you have to do is boot with Windows CD/DVD and select Repair which will fix the startup issue.
  6. Works perfectly on GA-EP45-UD3R following this guide. Just had to add OpenHaltRestat.kext to get shutdown working
  7. I had the exact problem. I think you have a bootable DMG version rather than the LION install APP with the embedded DMG. If it is so you need to just copy the install app out of the dmg and put both app and dmg in the desktop and also edit the install script to mount the external dmg. By default the script looks for the dmg inside the app. If you have no success let me know, I will dig out the modified install script that I use
  8. Thanks a lot, Works perfect on Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R motherboard with NVidia 8800GT 512MB card. Everything works, network, Audio, QE+CI. EDIT: Requires OpehHaltRestart.kext, otherwise machine does not power down.
  9. Help with 950GMA Intel Card

Yes, OSX will treat the display as SVGA and work at 1024x768 without Core Image or Quartz Extreme
  10. What Image is best for me?

Kalyway, Leo4all, iAtkos, and Retail all work on this motherboard.
  11. Apple Logo, Perpetual Spinning Logo

boot with "-v" and it will boot in text mode. Take a picture when the booting stops and post it here. Somebody can then help looking at the messages.
  12. Help with 950GMA Intel Card

AFAIK, Dell Latitude E6500 comes with GMA 4500 and there is no support in OSX for that chipset
  13. Leopard On Old Machine

Orangutan is an Ape, not a monkey! You need the Voodoo kernel which does SSE3 emulation on SSE2 processors. All P4 CPUs should support atleast SSE2 and Prescott core upwards SSE3.
  14. Installing apps

10.5.5 is 9.5.0, go figure! So the version int the fixes and patches section is the correct one Also you can run vanilla only if your CPU is Intel Core2 or above
