    @ird I started my comparison of i5-8600 GeekBench 6 benchmarks with the G4 and G5 Minis. The test measurements are collected with GeekBench 6.7.1 running in macOS Tahoe 26.6 Beta 2. Power supplies are 230W. GeekBench 6 scores are best of three tests. EliteDesk 800 G4 Mini 35W (8th Gen i5-8600 CPU) Single-Core Score: 1490 Multi-Core Score: 5887 EliteDesk 800 G5 Mini 65W (8th Gen i5-8600 CPU) Single-Core Score: 1480 Multi-Core Score: 5730 Based on this small sample, it does appear that the G4 Mini paired with 8th Gen i5-8600 slightly out-performs the G5 Mini paired with 8th Gen i5-8600. And this is with a G4 Mini 35W vs. a G5 Mini 65W. I have an EliteDesk 800 G4 Mini 65W with i5-8600 that I will test and report. Based on the results so far, if you're making a new barebones purchase for an 8th Gen Intel CPU and the G4 Mini is cheaper, buy the G4 Mini. If you already have a barebones G5 Mini and 8th Gen i5-8600 like I did, it's not enough of a difference to worry about.

    @Cyberdevs That's a really great performance. I've been updating the app with new improvements. I'm more active on Reddit, but I'm still working on the issues reported here. I have a list of bugs to solve and things to improve, but I'm still checking this forum for new reports.

    After upgrading to macOS Sequoia 15.7.8 (24G809) on my HackBookPro16,2, I was prompted to update Safari to Version 26.6 (20624.4.1.11.1) (Seed 1). Update appears to have gone well. About This Hack

    My MacBook Pro M1 is also running macOS 27 beta 1, and SuiteBench works flawlessly. No idea why GPU temperatures are missing on the M4 Max or what exactly makes the difference. @MaLd0n might know more about it.

    @logyon It depends on your use cases and it depends on what hardware you may already own. While the EliteDesk 800 G4 and G5 Minis are awesome hackintoshes, if you only need a new macOS platform, my personal preference would be to spend your money on a real Apple Silicon Mac. it's not very difficult to find an Apple Silicon Mac that runs circles around this Intel-based hack. If you already have the Intel-based hardware, then definitely consider making it a hackintosh.

    @chris1111 I had already discovered this link, but I didn't like it much because it adds Golden Gate beta to the PKG installer list (supposedly for Intel machines) and not to the firmware list (where I thought it should be). I need to investigate this further. It's possible that beta firmwares are released as PKG installers, and only the official firmware versions are listed in the firmwares tab. In that case, the app is able to obtain Golden Gate betas in the same way it obtains betas of other versions. By the way, thanks for the Golden Gate badge!     @matxpa Good afternoon. I saw your DFI post showing a beta version for Silicon. How did you do this? What code or URL do you use to get Silicon beta versions? I've added a firmwares tab to my repo, but I can only access the non-beta versions from Apple's official URL. Golden Gate isn't among them, obviously. Could you show me how to do it? Show me the code? Thank you very much in advance.

    No, the app uses default Apple catalog URLs, no Mr Macintosh or ipsw.me. Only official Apple links. Apple catalog offers regular, developer seed, public seed, etc. RC versions usually are not included in these catalogs, so no direct link to them in a regular way.

    @kgp Default URL for IPSW firmwares doesn't have a catalog in the way the PKG installers URL has the known classes (regular, developerseed, etc.). Default URL for firmwares is "https://api.ipsw.me/v2.1/firmwares.json/condensed". Default URL for devices is "https://api.ipsw.me/v4/device/{identifier}?type=ipsw" where {identifier} is the Apple identifier (e.g. iPhone14,5). Mist use "https://api.ipsw.me/v3/firmwares.json/condensed" as default firmwares URL but the firmwares list often is empty with the message "Firmwares API is being updated". I'll investigate if there is a way to get beta IPSW files. And I'll create a version with Sparkle and upload it to the releases page. Yes. Already answered by @kgp. Firmwares tab downloads IPSW installers.
