  1. I have an iMac 5K i7 4GHZ 8GB ram m295x 3TB Fusion drive. Installed El Capitan Public Beta and ran SunSpider Benchmark on it. My computer is MUCH faster than before when i was using Yosemite. The question is: Does this improvement shows on Hackintosh as well or only on the original supported Apple hardware? Does "Metal" speed improvement will be noticeable on any build? Here are the results of the Benchmark Before and After El Capitan upgrade using the same hardware. Any answer would be welcome! Thanx.

    AMD - Geekbench scores

Because there's no better way to measure our degree of success than seeing what the numbers say. Well, maybe not: real life user experience cannot be reduced to numbers only, but surely they matter. Post here your results. Let's show our fellow Intel hackintoshers how good an AMD machine can be! This one is not mine, but from Gilles:
  3. Hi to everybody, After a lot of time and troubles I have a (nearly) fully functional hackintosh. To make this dream real (lol) I need your help in some problems, first of all audio. The audio chip of my mb (signature) is realtek alc1150. I found a lot of guides (most of that on "toleda methods"), but nothing work for me, neither "apple hda audio" or other solutions ! The only admissible (is it?) solution is with vodoohda 2.8.8. Sound was popping and I solved it with the midi configurator of mac os x (i changed Hz). I had it on HDMI, but i can't slide volume down or up, when i plug in headphones the pc doesn't switch automatically the output source and the volume in headphones is ridicolously low. But when i use headphones as output I can slide volume. I tried tipical solutions to solve it, but, again, nothing solved. Another problem is that internal hd (i use it only for storage) is slow. It is formatted in NTFS because I use it also on windows. I really notice its slowness when I modify a song on iTunes (library stored there), I use Tuxera to write on it and I don't know what other file system I can use because there are some files (big sized like games) that I can't move on a fat32 hd. I test vga card and results are better on windows (sigh). What can I do to improve vga performance on mac? How can I optimize all the machine in few words. Thank you very much for all your time I appreciate it. [|OFFTOPIC| I installed and deleted MacFuse (a program for ntfs), but I can't remove panel on settings.]
  4. Hello everyone, I'm trying to figure out how it could be possible that after having gone from 8gb to 24gb of RAM in my desktop the benchmarks have fallen from 9054 to 8311 My configuration is: Motherboard ASUS Sabertooth x58 I7 processor 950 (3.07 ghz) 8GB -> 24GB Ram Corsair Vengance Geforce GTX 560 GPU I must say, however, I see a performance improvement especially at starting and using After Effects ... Hypothesis?
  5. I've searched for viable information, benchmark tests for GPU utilization for mac. More Specifically in the video conversion department. So without comprising quality, the CPU is currently the only way of increasing video handling performance. With the addition of CUDA and other direct GPU accelerators, I would like to know what other members are using with good performance. For testing with a GForce 9400 (supposedly a CUDA enabled, but mixed information on that, maybe only the 9400M) CUDA driver installed, but no performance feedback on the CUDAZ app.. Why does apple seem to hold back in the graphics dept on everything except a $3000.00 Mac Pro...? Are we really still sharing memory with the system??? I think that my first IBM Think Pad had that?? lol Thanks Folks!!!
