No takers on "Smilodon" ?

While the name COULD be catchier, it is a great California cat with that could could take a real bite out of Windoze!
Note the potential link between Smilodon and the classic smiling Mac.

Wow I really like Calico. I bet that's what they use, seriously. It's very Mac like.

Except that calico is a coloring found in cats, not a species. :) It does sound cool though.

If I had to bet money on it, I doubt they'd use 'lynx'.

Isn't that the name of the command-line linux web browser..? :) Wouldn't want to confuse anyone.

I would say Mac OS 10.6 "Bobcat" and Mac OS 10.7 "Lion".

Lion just sounds so cheesy and lame, doesnt really sound very Apple-like at all, i think 10.6 and 10.7 will probably by Lynx and Ocelot/Cougar.

Top Cat sound good to me....

Lnyx and Ocelot sound good...
and i agree, Lynx sound like a version on Unix....or even worse..Linux!:)

Yeah, I agree with Lynx. Or Lynix :)

Calico could be some kind of new technology, Finder replacement?

Calico sounds like some new-fangled web browser. But it would actually sound badass as an OS name.
