here is a proove :D

 

Most Wanted works too.

 

Here is how to do it!

--HOWTO--

1. you need and NFS Installed Cracked version (no-cd crack!!!)

2. download Heroes of Might of Magic V for osx (search ussaul places)

3. apply crack on it and see if is running (if it does your good to go)

4. Do show package contents on the heroes app and go to "Contents/Resources/trnasgamming/c_drive/Program Files/" and put there Your Need For Speed installed game

5. Copy this dlls from windows into c_drive/windows/system32/: d3d9_24.dll to d3d9_32.dll (you can find this dlls on the web too)

6. Open Info.plist from Contents folder and change Cedega Game dir and Name to:

<key>CedegaGameDir</key>

<string>c:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Need for Speed Most Wanted</string>

<key>CedegaGameName</key>

<string>c:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Need for Speed Most Wanted\speed.exe</string>

 

Or what's the folder you put in transgamming/c_drive/program files/

Save the file, cross your fingers and click the application.

Also... seems that oblivion works too (thanks to suzuka)

here is how

edit Oblivion.ini file and put it in

 

/Users/YourName/Library/Preferences/Heroes of Might and Magic V Preferences/p_drive/My Documents/My Games/Oblivion

 

There are also some other changes to your config file (Located at /Users/YourName/Library/Preferences/Heroes of Might and Magic V Preferences )

 

find

"PixelShadersLevel" = "1.4"

and change it to

"PixelShadersLevel" = "2.0"

 

and find

"AbsoluteMouseSensitivity" = "100" (or simmilar)

and change to

"AbsoluteMouseSensitivity" = "1"

This means that soon enough we might get Windows Games to run on OSX or that Carbon got ported to OSX.

i am trying to make Most Wanted now

see if everything is ok,

also i am trying to make a torrent to upload the game, so everyone can play

but my upload speed is too low

only 12k/s

 

and azurael, i am talking about playing games without windows

Cedega is GPL licensed, so as long as you're willing to compile it yourself from CVS, you can have it for free.

 

Even if it does work, I don't expect you could get playable performance from this at the moment...

som3on3, great work. you really should try to post up some tutorials on how to do this... I'm sure the community as a whole would greatly appreciate it.

I would love to see Rainbow Six: Vegas or Command&Conquer Tiberium Wars or Company of Heroes run like this. I really don't like dual booting, you see.

Anyways, if you need help seeding and such, I can try to help for a while. And I can even try to help port more games like this if you'd be so kind as to enlighten me.

1) Post the compiled version of Cedega, that works on Mac ( I dont wanna install XCode)

2) Give a few pointers, on how to use Cedega with NFS Carbon

 

Seriously, why would I wanna download 4 GB again, so that I can play Carbon. It would be far easier to just convert it using Cedega.

but can't find anyone :P

seems that NFS is not such a needed game on osx :((

In about 3-4 weeks I'll be in a situation where I an setup a 24/7 fileserver with around 250GB of storage. If you can get the torrent *and* the files to me I could host. I'd also be game to seed Cedega (sorry, probably won't have static IP for ftp)

How did you guys used Cider? Cider is said to be the Macintosh product, which is available only to Games Software Developers while Cedega is a Linux release. So what's the deal here?
