banders5144
Ok i downloaded the ATI X300 installer from this thread and it worked perfectly. I was able to change my res and still keep my hardware acceleration. However i still get some mouse tearing. Any way to fix this?
Googlehupferl
OK, italian isnt my native language, but anyhow it's time to send you big thanx m8 It works for me with my ATIRadeon9800SE@Pro with AGP+Callisto+QE/CI/OpenGL two hints from me: recommend in a readme or so, what the right PCI-ID must set in the CallistoHAL. it comes with the default value. and whats the importend one, please recommend in the readme what all users of your solution, who are using 10.4.7, must highly important delete the ATINDRV.kext before installing your solution, this module (i assume it comes from the Natit-package and is intergrated in the main-dvd-install) collides with the AGPGart.kext which you has implemented in your driver-pack, at first try i got the black-screen crash, but as i delete only the ATINDRV.kext and rebuild the kernelcaches all things are running fine. ok, thx and bye. PS: @banders5144 look at the genius bar there must be a howto linked especially for the mouse-tearing problem, two solutions exist on the forums. Googlehupferl
@chavito the package install also the AGPGart, maybe whats your problem? Doesn't know much about the install-prozess, but evtl. try the manual install via pacifist, and remove the AGPGart from /S/L/E before reboot. d3x86
Ciao a tutti, ho un desktop P4 540 (Prescott: SSE3, NO NX/HPET) e Radeon X300. Thx a lot.. Edited January 26, 2007 by d3x86
d3x86

PueloCesar
Tryied the 3 versions of callisto on my 9600 pro and all I can get is a black screen after booting. It appears a blue screen with the mouse cursor then screen goes black. I edited ATIRadeon9700GA.kext back removing the CallistoFB and them I could change resolution, but I had no more QE and CI. Does anyone knows how to fix it? edit: I'm using 10.4.8 with 8.8.1 kernel -- using dashboard translator --- Tryied le 3 versioni del callisto sui miei 9600 pro e su tutti che possa ottenere è uno schermo nero dopo il caricamento del sistema.
I have the same problem with my 9600 Pro 128MB - black screen on boot with all three drivers. Im also on 10.4.8 with the 8.8.1 kernal. My card is on the AGP slot. Profiler sees AGP and ATI Radeon 9600 AP correctly with 128MB Ram. I can boot up with the -x flag into safe mode and I get options for the display resolution and can change them. CI and QE are not supported Interestingly, It sees my LCD screen correctly as a viewsonic vg700b - even though it says crt. Please help me resolve this - other than this everything is working fine.
