Well the same applies to 10.8.3, you you the DSDT to load a proper framebuffer and you use the generic one in the screenshot(7xxx instead of 7970). My system shows 7970 with 10.8.3 with properly patched kext personality and DSDT.

PORTUGUÊS:

Olá VultUx, você saberia me dizer como eu posso ver se o meu "Framebuffer" está carregado no meu sistema? OS X ML 10.8.4 e Placa ASUS Radeon HD7750.

No org.chameleon.Boot, eu coloquei a "Framebuffer": "Chutoro" está correto para a minha placa? mas eu faço o comando no terminal: "ioreg | grep ATY" e não aparece o nome "chutoro".

ENGLISH:

Hello VultUx, you could tell me how I can see if my "Framebuffer" is loaded on my system? OS X 10.8.4 and ML Plate ASUS Radeon HD7750.

Sorry Jorge, I don't use any framebuffer don't do nothing in my system, I try to use the more clean install possible, I just use FakeSMC and other kext to USB 3.

Do you already read the tutorials from Rampage? Maybe have some information to help you.

Does QE/CI work for you? I've got to work flashed 7950 in DP1 on actual MP 1,1, using Chameleon 2247.

With GE=No no white screen but no QE/CI. OCL works, though. Card recognized as 7xxx.

With GE=Yes I'm getting white screen, but all acceleration kinds do work. Card recognized properly as 7950.

for white screen use FBRotate app as start app. it reloads your monitor and the whitescreen is gone

I did the test, same problem and the display port doesn't work with GE enabled need to connect in DVI, probably wrong framebuffer.

Cinebench recognize the card like FirePro D700 but the performance is the same.

Could you explain how I know if QE/CI is working? And if is important have QE/CI?

To test QE/CI use Dashboard. It should run not as space (set it in Sys Prefs/MissionControl). Add whatever widget to Dashboard. If you'll see ripple effect, QE/CI works.

It's pretty important because it's responsible for hardware rendering all OS eye candy effects. If it doesn't work, UI seems laggy, some graphics features (as ripple and translucent menu bar) are inactive, some are software rendered.

I have a 7850 2gig and all I had to do was add the device ID to the associated kexts.  Dual monitor no white screen.  Full QE/CI

was this in 10.8 or 10.9?  I can only find one place to add ID in 10.9- in AMDRadeonX4000.kext, are there other places?  also have a 7850 2GB.  thanks

7850 now works in dev2 with editing 2 kexts: AMDRadeonX4000.kext and AMD7000Controller.kext.  No fbrotate or helper card needed. With using clover 1888 and GE=no, recognized as 7xxx with multiple screen support - with clover 1888 and GE=yes it's recognized as 7850 2GB but only single monitor.  oh well go apple :ninja:

Delete the AMD kexts and boot with -x and GE=No

Another problem.. how did u boot to os? Clover And chameleon aren't compatible with our gpu... when i boot i get strange strings!!

on my system I had to install the OS with an old compatible card, I used a 8400GS.  then make the edits later.  sorry if I wasn't clear about that.

Hello guys, can anyone help me...? just got a sapphire 7950 and mavericks detects it with Full QE support but i want to connect 3 monitors. The ports of the card are 2 DVI, 1 DP and 1 HDMi ... one of the DVI clones the HDMi... so in reality it has 3 working separate ports. The problem is when i connect the 3 monitors all 3 are detected but only two show image, the other is black and when i try to change the display preferences i see all 3 detected but i click the one that shows black and the system freezes... with 2 monitors it works great... is there any way to correct how mavericks is detecting the cards ports?

thanks

Hi, Could you look in OpenGl Viewer or Oceanview Waves and see what the card is id'd as? We are trying to figure out which one gets called "D300" in these apps. It will either say "Radeon 7850 OpenGl Engine" or it will say "AMD D300 OpenGl Engine"

We have already found that 7870 XT is the D500
