@regae

Thanks for the app but you can not still the files smbios.plist, ElliottForceLegacyRTC.kext RealtekRTL81xx.kext and add the install because some files do not go without it.

It should be this smbios.plist.

Does not work for me, tried twice. The DVD does not boot. However the partition where the installer extracts the LION files is bootable and I installed from that and working like a charm.

what happens if you install the installer on your normal partition.. is there any chance of it erasing data? - I think i done that by accident and screwed up :/

can someone make a generic dvd and upload it ?? it wil be very useful especially for noobs...

Agreed. I'm going to be grabbing this so I can banish Snow from my dual-partition all-OS X HDD after I migrate to Sandy Bridge.

Why? Simple enough - there are no applications or hardware that run only in Snow (either currently or planned to be added post-migration) and it saves from having to reinstall *all*.

Side benefit - currently I have three hard drives (one used entirely for install images/utilities - currently, it's an ex-Dell 40 GB PATA) and I can move it to offline storage (and out of my case) either before or after conversion to SATA.

Speaking of which - can Disk Utility (in either Snow or Lion) copy an entire drive (partitions and all) to another drive? I'd like migrating that drive to be as pain-free as is feasible. I know DU works with images and partitions - I just don't know if it's capable of tackling an entire drive. (The destination will likely be larger than the source, as 40 GB *SATA* HDDs aren't exactly common.)

Is there any way I can do this without having an existing Mac OS installed? Can I use a program to partition my HDD, format to HFS+ and then install the package using windows?

I would say most definitely yes, it is forbidden according to the form rules:

No posting of direct or indirect links to warez or pirated pieces of software, this includes cracks, serials and torrents.

If you want to have Chameleon on HDD i think you need to disable UEFI boot on your motherboard. Not sure tho.
