Stranger: Is that a mac?
Me: Do your really want to know?
Stranger: Sure...
Me: (Depending on how I'm feeling...) <Actually Explain it> OR (bad mood) <Use the OSx86 terminology (improperly) to overload the poor guy>

It happened to me recently in a meeting...

The guy sitting on my right was looking over my shoulder, and after a while he asked "But wait a minute it's a Mac ?", then, the girl sitting on my left replied "No, it's a Samsung !" and the guy replied to her "Yeah I know, but it's running Mac !" :D

I just kept quiet in the middle, waiting for them to stop arguing -_-

I got this question when people see my dual screen setup. The best (and the closest) so far was "Is this a new Linux version of some kind?"
I just answer - "no, it is OS X".
Most of the people than just stop asking further, but still look with interest on my black Antec box with lots of Blue led fans....
-_-

The computer specialist at my school looked over my shoulder and said, "that's interesting" and walked away. Then a girl walked over and said "what kind of computer is that?" "it's a dell" "but why does it have the i pod thing?" "what?" and she walked away too.

I lol'd at that.

Most of the time, people just ask and I say that I hacked OS X onto it. They usually don't go furrther than there.

LOOOOOL, you guys are hilarious!!!!

I had three ppl on my shoulders while i was setting it up back in 2007, they thought i was crazy and never believed me, until they saw the welcome video (which was after alot of trail and error) but they were struck with astonishment when they first saw it!!! I LAUGHED HARD IN THEIR FACES!!!! HAHAHA

About the general public, ppl always thought i modded my case to make it look "Cool" or "Hip"!!!! poor them, brain washed....... so sad!!!

I do work at Sony though..... and I kinda got promoted cause one of my managers saw my "Hackint0sh" and was amazed!!! Thank you OSx86!!!! :) I'm quitting soon though

So I had invited some co workers over to my place when they happened to ask if they could check their email on my computer and they came out with some astonishing responses to my Personal Computer and my laptop for some odd reason, they were astounded by them...

It just looks like any other regular computer if you ask me....

It's just a laptop...

Err it's a dell monitor I told them nothing fascinating about Dells...

Posted Image

They asked me "What is that thing lying on the ground" and I replied "Beats me it just showed up I never really noticed it

Final question my friend Joanna asked me Is this a Mac?!?"

I replied, "Uhm... What's a Mac?"

The confusion in the room was priceless

8)

Thank you OSX 86
