  1. Boot with "-v" and see where it is stopping.
  2. If you are doing a retail install, it won't work. Retail can only be installed on GUID unless you mod the image. What method of install are you using?
  3. Have you tried to boot with any flags? ie. GraphicsEnabler=No PCIRootUID=1 ,,,anything like that?
  4. [New!] Linux Distributions Poll

I was a big Ubuntu user, then left for a while, when I went back, the Unity desktop seemed to be the big thing. I do not like it at all. If I go back to Ubuntu, it will most likely be 10.04 LTS
  5. I agree with Lejenk. Looks like a graphics problem. Have you tried to boot with any flags? ie. GraphicsEnabler=No, GraphicsEnabler=Yes Personally, I would have left my gfx card in. I find these onboard intel gfx to be hit or miss. I know mine is a huge PITA so I hafta use my Nvidia
  6. I've been going nuts here trying to get this working. There seems to be a few different methods to doing it as well. Is there any difference between the HD4000 and the 2500. When OSX first boots, you can see it says intel HD2500, not the 4000. Anyway, this is where I am. I can boot safe mode, but thats it. Here's it what a normal boot goes like with flags -v -f, goes through the procedure and as the graphics are about to start, grey screen with apple logo and the distortion. Here is a youtube link if anyone is interested. http://youtu.be/HwYZazu_PWw Also attached boot.plist org.chameleon.Boot.rar
  7. I am using a 128GB SSD. I have another larger drive that has all my data on it. Is there a way that I can have iPhoto import pics but only access them from the storage drive. I imported one folder and it seemed to copy them over to the SSD. I'm not sure if itunes will do the same with music. I looked for some sort of setting, but didnt see anything.
  8. Installation hang at 16%

Why you are probably not getting much help on this is your method of install. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/ http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/275941-very-important-please-read-about-tonymacx86/ There is no support for any of his tools (or tools he has claimed to be his) here. May I suggest another method posted by some of the members on this forum.
  9. Try install voodooHDA. I think that's all I had to do for my H77. I can update myGA-H77-DS3 and only have to reinstall the audio. 10.8 to 10.8.4 with no other problems.
  10. Guys, I have a question on this. Will the Intel HD4000 only work on my H77M-D3H with only a HDMI cable or DVI, not VGA. I have been trying for a while with only VGA and don't want to waste my time if I'm banging my head on a wall here if it's useless with VGA. Thanks
  11. UEFI Boot problem + Clover

I tried to re-install the VoodooHDA and is now working again.
  12. UEFI Boot problem + Clover

I just plugged in another HDD and did a fresh install, updated to 10.8.4 with everything working. I installed clover with the bare minimum. Restarted and had broken sound and video. For some reason, every time install clover to the hard drive, it breaks the sound and video.
  13. UEFI Boot problem + Clover

Well, now that the boot problem has been fixed, since doing that, my sound has took a dump (no device detected) so I reinstalled the AppleHDA kext for my VT2021 and nothing. Also any youtube videos I watch will stop periodically. Would clover have installed some conflicting kexts?
  14. UEFI Boot problem + Clover

Thanks. That worked for me. I tried a few different options, but the final result was always an error loading the kernel. I have a Samsung 840Pro SSD coming this week and I want to get this setup ready to clone over. That should just about do it. Everything working except for the Intel HD4000 being a huge PITA, the Geforce 8500 is working quite well.
