Well, his keynote starts in a few hours, and I'm sure everyone is filled with anticipation. :P I'll be watching a live stream of the keynote, and I'll try to edit this post when something important happens. The only problem is that I will be in school, so it might not be updated as fast as it could be (thanks, small form-factor iPhone). So if any other staff members see anything that I missed, feel free to add it here! The keynote is supposed to begin at 9:00 PST, which is UTC-8.

I will be editing this original post.

I want to know what they mean by "shrink the processor" Are we talking 45nm or something else?

My guess is they mean a package shrink rather than a die shrink (maybe both though). The CPU core on most processor's is much smaller than the package, so a 60% reduction isn't unreasonable.

$1799 isn't bad, especially when they had Intel redesign the chip. The specs are nice but 1 USB port is limiting. Not my cup of tea, but impressive.

80Gb hdd, 2gb of ram (667mhz, cl 5-5-5-15), 1.6Ghz Core2Duo (200mhz FSB, with 8x multiplier?), 13" display, one USB - for 1799$ + 99$ for super drive?

{censored} happens.

Hmm... i dont understand why would an ultra slim notebook require 2gb of RAM?

Randy Newman? I rather see Steve in a unitard.

Because you can't upgrade memory, thus they give your the max. All is built on.
