  2. How are you all purchasing Mountain Lion? I have gone through the app store and It's telling me its not compatible with this computer (the one in the sig) Are you using a genuine Mac?
  3. Thank you for the reply. I think a single i7-990X 6 core looks the way to go. As mentioned I will be working with 10.6 for the time being. Could you recommend a motherboard that supports this processer and can run OSX 10.6 without the need for heavy modification of kexts etc to get it to run. Thanks.
  4. Hello, I have an old system that is in need of an upgrade (specs in sig). Unfortunately I have some hardware which only has drivers for 10.6 so I am locked into snow leopard for now. I'm looking to build the fastest i7 system that can currently run on 10.6.8. Even better would be the ability to swap my hard drive over to the new hardware and change my dsdt (if possible), but the main aim is for the fastest i7 hardware that will run 10.6.8. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.
  5. Already had 10.6.6 installed. Deleted DSDT.aml from/extra. Updated through software update ran the new installer working great.
  6. This one is confirmed working. No KP. Wake from sleep ok. SleepEnabler10.6.6
  7. So nobody updated or is nobody using this board anymore?

    10.6.6 is out

Updated system in the sig to 10.6.6. Everything fine except as others have mentioned if I don't remove sleepenabler.kext I get a kernel panic.
  9. I've just updated to 10.6.6. Removed sleep enabler before updating through software update. Rebooted everything working ok. However when I put Sleepenabler.kext back I get a Kernel panic on boot up. Does anyone have a working Sleepenabler.kext for 10.6.6?
  10. So 10.6.6 is out, anyone updated? Sleep Enabler working?
  11. What's the best method of cloning my drive which I have installed using this method to a new bigger drive? (It's making funny noises and could fail soon).
  12. I read it's the same as the last update. Download 10.6.4 combo update and before restarting replace sleepenabler. Not tried it yet but will post results later in the week when I get chance to try it.
  13. Just updated to 10.6.3 using this method. All working ok.
