InsanelyMac logo design competition

I personally like our current design better than the new one, but w/e.

Thought I'd throw my hat into the ring.

Nobody though to design an apple with a worm inside?

diogan: yours is very good; i just find the apple too "painted"...

i like the idea of the utilizing command symbol...it's unique to mac, it's timeless, apple doesnt seem to have legal issues with you using it. how about something clean, simple, sophisticated--like mac. i like the last one best i think.

btw i also think the new site design is a step backwards, it looks kinda tacky and not very usable, no offense to whomever designed it.

Thanks. My Wife actually had that idea, but we nixed it because it could have some negative connotations to it, i.e. worms and viruses.

I went for more of a modern type look, 1680x1050 go ahead use it as your wallpaper

True! Replace the Apple with a Command sign and I think it would be sweet.

i like the look of this as it is, but i guess it needs an upgrade to 1.6

Okay, and now my finished product.The IM almost sounds like (instant message) even though most people think of AIM or Yahoo and other similar clients, maybe even IRC... here at insanelymac people are always talking and so the logo is a speech bubble and should fit anyway. I tried to stay on topic while being original.For those who want to see it on its possible new home. -The logo was made in vector format and exported for use online.

Anyway I think if the command symbol was change to red to match the new theme, this would be a great logo. Its simple, yet professional.

but diogan people seem to like the command sign more so hows about throwing the command sign in there. instead of the apple

I was hoping that after the closing date, the admin would be kind enough to show the compilations of logos sent by the members. It will be nice to see how much participation the members shown.

By the way, IMHO, the new site design is lacking. The font color is too strong thus making it stand out more than the design itself. I suggest doing some research on the design trend of 2008.

There's plenty of designs the admin should look at and I guess it would be exhausting to pick the best.
