I'm getting the failed to load error after completed the installation.

Hardware:

HP 8710w

4GB RAM

Nvidia FX1600M 512MB

Any idea what are the patch options that I should choose inorder to have a working Leopard ?

This one's a bit of a head scratcher . . . HP Compaq 6710b laptop. (1.8 ghz Core 2 duo, ICH8-ME chipset, 2 gigs ram)

I get through the first stages of the install (Selecting what I want to install and then moving into the actual install) just fine. Then, when it tries to validate the packages, it says the contents of the 10.5.4 package can't be validated. :(

I have tried in both AHCI and Compatibility modes for the install as well as regetting and burning, and get the same error.

Is there anything else you can suggest?

Thanks from a long time lurker.

d

::edited to clarify the error::

This iAtkos is strange...First I made a Test install on an external USB-HD, choose Speedstep-Pack, Thermo Fix, GMA x3100 and installed it. Installation was fast and smooth, System is fast too...

+

-Fast Install

-Drive was recognized

-Battery too

-Restart/Shutdown

-Fast Bootup

-

-Time Machine doesn't work

-No Languages...

BUT then I wanted to install it on my Pc-Partition...after 3 Times, I gave it up...I selected the Same Thinks like before, but still something like this: "Apple AHCI-Port not found...". Vista was also broken, had to reinstall it... I need no help, simply wanted to know you this, maybe they can fix this in another release...

Hi i'm new to all of this,

I installed iAKTOS v.1.0i and everything seems ok,

only problem i have is i haven't got a full screen (widescreen) and all im getting is like a 4:3 screen.

I thought there was meant to be a video saying welcome to leopard but i didn't just straight onto the registration (which i had trouble already).

So anyway, tryed to go to some settings and its asking me for an administrators password which i dont have.. so went to user acc and its saying im on a standard which doesnt allow me to have any administrative rights!

My sound card isn't working and my network drive isnt either inc wireless. But for strange reason my bluetooth is lol!

Anyway, my sys speacs are:

HP Compaq 6720s

140GB Hard Drive

Intel Celeron CPU 550 @ 2.00GHz 1.99 GHz

RAM 2039 MB

Intel Graphics Accelerator for Mobile

So just woundering, if im missing out on something cos the problems bugging me :)

Thanks guys!

Chris

Re: VMWare

I know this sounds silly, but I have been banging my head against a wall with the mounting errors and "still waiting" messages. I have been trying to install iATKOS 4i on VMWare using all the boot options I could find. Finally I decided to try mounting the image with Daemon-Tools instead of the built in VMWare iso mounting. I worked like a charm and I'm in the graphical part of the install now. I will update as to whether or not I can get iATKOS 4i running on VMWare reliably.

So using -F -v I was able to go about halfway through the graphical part of the installation using iatkos 4i on VMWare 6.5. I formatted the drive, ran the hardware check utils; everything. Then about halfway through, Daemon Tools drops the mounted iso and the install just sits flashing the CD icon in the bottom of the VMWare window. I tried it with a physical disc, and it locked up the DVD drive until I rebooted. It's issuing some drive command that VMWare doesn't like. Still working on it.

Fantastic!

Installed on an ECS 945GCT-M/1333 v3 board with Core2 Duo e4500 and all is well! Just chose vanilla install with no extra drivers except ntfs write and EVERYTHING (I do have a C-Media USB soundcard instead of built-in) works! Even monitor sleep is working fine (something I could not get to work with earlier versions). *If you have a board with GMA-950 graphics DO NOT install the extra 950 drivers, the vanilla install graphics works perfectly.

I have also run all the latest Apple updates with no issues!

Hmm...wasn't really a big fan of iATKOS but if I didn't already set my system completely up, I would download this. I wish I could just backup my entire partition so I can restore it later (if needed).

Acronis Disc Director - works perfect for me. Unfortunately can`t resize HFS+ partitions

P5E-VM-DO

E6600 2.4/OC'd to 3.2

X1950XT 256MB

Soundblaster USB for sound

Everything is working great. Upgraded straight from iatkos 10.5.1 so this was a big step. Had trouble with getting quartz extreme and full acceleration working on the X1950XT. Used JCool's installer for the G33 chipset (very similar to my micro ATX chipset) and I was up and running. Did better in XBench than a 24-inch 3.06 iMac. I am very happy and will stick with iatkos for the time being.

Upgrading to Q9600, ATI HD 3870 and a velociraptor drive. SATA performance lags noticeably behind the iMac so hopefully the Velociraptor will mitigate the issue.

Fast installation. This distro seems very stable, cause I've rebooted a plenty (like MSW :P ) without any problem. EFI8 + GUID HDD running steady.

My only expense was a $10 USB-KB (so my PS2 KB was dead and I had no system) that seems an Apple original (I couldn't believe).

The problems I had with Kalyway 10.5.2 remains:

a ) My onboard ALC888 does not 'sing' so it's a quite silent system. ;)---> No more a problem: I 've extratcted (thru Pacifist) ALC888 package, from JaS Client 1.5.4 install DVD, which installed AppleHDA and ALCinject kext's. Voi la' ...I can hear the music. :D

b ) My ATI Sapphire HD 2400XT (1002:94c1) is still an ATI unknow device, so Quartz no way. :D---> I think there is no salvation for that dammed Video card. All attempts have finished with fuzzy images, and I had to get to -s-x-v boot and delete .kext to get my OSX back to working state. :D I am planning to get an ATI 3850 card..... :P

Does anybody know how to fix those issues ?

BTW my config:

Intel DG33BUC mobo

G33 Express chipset + ICH9/DH/R

HD Audio Realtek ALC888

VGA GMA3100 (disabled)

LAN Intel 82566DC (disabled)

Intel C2D E8400 3 GHz

2GB RAM DDR2

VGA Sapphire HD2400XT 256MB-DDR3 PCI-E

HDD Samsung 320GB SATA2

DVDW LG SATA2

KB+Mouse USB

3com PCI-LAN

Downloaded and installed on my Dell Inspiron 1720 pc, same problem with 2.0, I can see half of the screen only because the other half (the right one), the screen resolution seems to be twice the selected one on the system preferences

Dell Inspiron 1720

Dual Core 2 Duo

2GB RAM

120 GB HDD

Intel GMA X3100

Can anyone help with this?

Hi AhmadX. Did you find a solution to your display problem? I've got the same with and Advent 9517 laptop. It has a X3100 GPU and 1440x900 LCD. Would be good to find the answer...

Cheers,

Tim.

when your computer restarts after the successful installation, did you remove the iatkos install dvd from the optical drive?

I got everything to work on my GA EP35 DS3L, except the sound, ACL888. When I installed the package, my bios said "non system disk" Every other time I restarted (before the audio driver install) everything was fine. I am running an IDE drive if that helps.

System specs:

GA EP35 DS3L

E7200@3.16

4GB DDR2 800

eVGA 8800GT

Ive already reformatted and tried again, but nothing.
