~pcwiz
I was just wondering if you could take the Media Center program from Windows XP MCE (Media Center Edition) and install it on a normal copy of Windows XP Professional.
Suhail
Why not just use the MCE Edition. It looks so much better (Royale) and has all the features of the Pro Edition
InorganicMatter
No, it's embedded fairly deep into the operating system. Your best bet is to get XP MCE or Vista Home Premium.
~pcwiz
@Suhail, You can get the Royale and Royale Noir themes on a normal XP Pro system I guess I might use a 3rd party Media Center software.

m82a1
it is possible, cuz i have done it, theres a disc around the usual places, its a boot disc, which will boot into bartPE, make the changes, then u gota get some updates, and ur set it changes quite a bit actually, i thought it would just add the media centre app, but no, everything is there, screensaver, the theme, the wallaper, pretty sweet if u ask me like i've said, its in the usual places

REVENGE
It is absolutely possible...but I never bookmarked the install guide after I saw it. Google is your friend.
~pcwiz
REVENGE, Any chance you remember the site at least or what you searched for maybe? Its pretty hard to find. Also, I just need that single media center program, not the entire MCE install.
