REVENGE
"PPC code has also been removed..." What does this mean? No Rosetta? No, I don't believe so. It means that universal binaries will have the part that is built for PPC stripped, leaving only Intel executable code.

Synaesthesia
so should i get rid of my ToH install and install this baby? eh? eh ? It's up to you! I don't think so, you can get everything working perfectly with TOH so why bother? great news .. but im only new i try b4 uphuck 10.4.9 it works great . can some one tell me what is the basic things about efi .. thanx It's the efi emulating bootloader by netkas. It is a closer simulation of real macs, allows you to original kexts (instead of hacked ones) and with a core 2 duo, allows you to use the original Apple kernel and even update normally like a real mac. errandwolfe
I will consider updating our HCL this afternoon to clear things up a bit, but that is the place to go first. Next, go in our forums and search for answers to existing questions. Finally, if you need more help, post a topic, but ONLY after you've done your research. Um maybe I am blind here, but have been to both uphuck and iatkos and don't see an HCL anywhere. Would you mind posting a link? Am very curious if you have managed to get the GMA X3100 on the trouble laptops (i.e. Dell).

Well unfortunately, the links to our wiki have fallen into obscurity since our transformation into InsanelyMac. From the top of my head, I believe GMA X3XXX series of GPUs are borked for the moment. I'll dig up the link soon enough.
stevedude
:censored2: went from 2 seeds back 2 just 1 seed. tried the 1000 connection tip on azureus & it actually seemed 2 slow it down. may b reading it wrong but it looks like my default setting is unlimited. temporarily down from infinity 2 newhere from a few days 2 a year. was squarely in the middle of the d8a plot 4 the swarm. now sumwhat outside it & can't get back in2 the middle of the data plot. ok i'm not apro @ torrents but i think what is happening is that as u get close 2 being on the edge of having everything that is available from the peer swarm, as yer %age approaches the limit of what every1 else has who is a peer (as opposed to what is on the seed itself which should be 100%), yer speed is going 2 slow down, mayb waaayyy down, from time 2 time. not sure if that is the case but it makes sense 2 me. ne1 else? moving back 2 the middle of the d8a plot 4 the connection swarm 4 now. switched abruptly from infinity 2 hours 2 days & back 2 infinity. now about 1-2 days but still less than 1/3 dun... & still just 1 seed. hardware wiki link? http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

And you're correct, as you approach the limit of availability, your speed drops since you're waiting for data to "trickle down" from the few peers who have seed connections. Increasing the max limit of connections won't speed you up, it'll only bring your closer to the front of the pack (it might also be bad for other torrents with normal seeding/leeching, so I'd turn it down a bit after you finish getting iATKOS). stevedude
:censored2: thanx. that's what i thought. so the default connections r unlimited theoretically then why do i have only about a quarter of the possible connections? sum tyoe of hardware or other bandwidth limit8tion? completely stops on me from time to time & fluctuates wildly. once i got near the limit, nothing i tried seemed 2 make ne difference. probbly the only other thing that wud make a difference wud b 2 get connected directly 2 the seed but duzn't seem 2 b a way 2 do that except mayb @ random. now @ 100+ days now @ 30+ days infinity again 90 days infinity 181 days infinity 90 days 118 days infinity 2 days 38 days 30 days 42 days 109 days 82 days 136 days 4 days 1 day & so on 28.5% w/just 29.6% available now down 2 1/3 # of connections & available dropped down 2 29.2 then back up 2 29.4 but still less than b4. Myzrael
Stevedude what you are seeing is totally normal. There is only one seeder doing this and it will take time before other people seed those bits as well. If you would have waited 2/3 days it would have been a normal download but because this is the first round, you will see very fluctuating speeds and it will take a long time. I'm at 28.6 as well and that's totally normal. It's a torrent....not a HTTP download.

REVENGE
28,6% Sorry, but please don't post stupid stuff like your download percentage, # of seeds being only 1, etc. IRC is already getting spammed by this kind of stuff, just be patient and wait for your download. cabron
Awwwww no!! It says Intel SSE3 only!!! What happened to SSE2 support?? its died on 10.4.8 I don't know if semthex will make a "killer ultimate sse2 leo kernel" but waiting for this now is useless, and its best you make a update on your system/change your laptop or notebook instead waiting for the unsure. GBK.Xscape
How come it is only 2.09 GB in size? I know it is zipped but did it compress it that much? I thought it would be a dual layer like the Leopard DVD was?
