sok5
Thanks for the .kext's, but I somehow have both keyboard and mouse working now. Not sure how though, but they both work. I just need to get the audio and battery to work. I'm more concerned about getting the audio to work now though. btw, I started a thread for these laptops in the 10.6 forum. Hi Steven, I forget to tell you that you have to remove AppleHDA.kext from extensions and reboot it. It should working for you and make sure you VoodooHDA.kext -->sound in extensions folder. if you don't have this VoodooHDA kext, you can fine it my extra folder. Use Kext helper b7 to load into system extension. sok5
You can try EFIStudio to create for your video card, It worked for me. demoniac
You can try EFIStudio to create for your video card, It worked for me. Sok5 Got a tip on "NVEnabler" Worked GREAT! Installed with Kext Helper, rebooted. Everything is recognized, and everything works. Full hardware support! So something works... Another problem: I used iPC Final to install. (on my DV9575) No extra kexts, only the first on the powermanagement and ALC268 (with headset support). I can´t mute. It´s always a little sound. But this doesn´t bother me that much, at least I have separate headset volume. And, I can´t sleep!! If I close the lid, the only thing that happens, is that the screen goes black, but the computer is on. If i press the sleep button, the computer kinda goes to sleep, but fans etc. are on, and I can´t get back to OS. Any good fix? I think shutdown/reboot works out of the box. conifer
I have browsed these forums looking for info but I couldn't find much. I have an HP Pavillion dv9870ep. Will I be able to run MacOS decently (dual booting with Vista)? What will be missing in the end? Also, anyone knows a guide wich I can follow for my particular laptop? And any advice on what pack to use (iATKOS, Kalyway, iDeneb)?? Thanks in advance. EDIT: I have been trying with iATKOS v7 and after i formatted the partition as told, i still get a "Installing MAC OS X could not be completed" message, and I can't seem to pass that point. If you have a Intel CPU, don´t use a custom kernel. Download iPC Final! Write "vanilla" on boot. You will need to install a couple of times before everything works as it should, but in general, choose as FEW kexts as possible, you can install more kexts after the OS is in. I guess you will need the "PS/2 keyboard" kext. I´ve used it, the only thing that doesn´t work is Wi-Fi and sleep. Everything else works great! I´m using Chameleon RC3 (the newest one) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/69459-hp-dv6000-dv9000-intel-only/page/19/#findComment-1290211 Share on other sites
frwthr
I created my own thread but didn't get any useful reply... I have a dv6235us, Intel. I've tried to use iDeneb and iPC (I understand iPC is better for intel), but the problem is I can't get the dvd to boot to install. I've selected my dvd drive as first boot device in BIOS, and even select the dvd drive from the ESC (choose boot device) option at boot-up... All I get is a blinking _, the dvd spins up, then my laptop continues booting as normal (either GRUB with my linux hd in, or No Operating System Found with my blank hd in). The problem is NOT with the dvd itself, it boots just fine in the 4 desktops I've tried it on and I've reburned it several times. My dvd drive is not generally faulty either. I can read/write cd's and dvd's just fine. Linux cd's boot, Windows cd's boot. My dvd drive is a DS8AZH A Slimtype. Has anyone else had any trouble getting an osx86 dvd to boot on this drive?? Suggestions, solutions? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/69459-hp-dv6000-dv9000-intel-only/page/19/#findComment-1290289 Share on other sites
conifer
@demoniac: what do you mean by several installs? And where can I find that keyboard PS2 fix? EDIT: I tried iPC and I got a kernel panic. Booting with vanilla macOSX tells me to reboot. Anyone can help? The further I got was with iDeneb, i got to installation and it gave me an error near 80% telling my CD was damaged and needed cleaning (i tried several times and several burns, same error) can it be my download that is corrupted? Shall I download iDeneb again? conifer
Ok i got Leopard 10.5.7 running perfectly apart from wireless network and some minor things i might come through later. Even my volume touch buttons work!!! Now the only thing not working and bugging me is when I scroll down a webpage or move a window around, i get visual bugs. The windows turn blank and need to minimize them to restore the contents. Webpages dont scroll down and glitch when i scroll them, also needing minimizing for them to show properly. Also, I broke my windowsboot file in the process so i'm stuck with mac xD Anyone knows how can I fix this scrolling bug and the wireless internet? Each time I need to patch a singular file, do I need a whole new mac installation or can I just patch one single option? Thanks to your info, I found the audio driver or you can say every driver that is included in IPC 10.5.6. Just check this link out: Drivers List I found this when I began searching the internet. This driver not only fixed the external audio but it also fixed the shutdown problem and the bluetooth can now be switched on.
