Anyone have any solutions for the "Bad address" error message?

numbers, the 2 softwares that didnt work are maxwell render and artlantis... they crash upon loading with loads of errors... i will install leopard 9a527 and update.. then try and install again tonight and post shots of the error... maybe u can help me see what is wrong with it.. lol..

The downloaded file is located at /Library/Packages/Leopard Software Update Client/

You can find .pkg file, and open it.

 

This will work. good luck

Thank you Hello Kim, I think the problem stems from have the update download before I ran repairpermissions on the disk right after install.

 

iaror, delete the files that already exist in /Library/Packages/Leopard Software Update

Your Dock in Leopard looks different based on other screenshots I have seen. Is that strip across the floor native to the OS is it an add on/effect you installed or a glitch?

dude, it looks like u've been detached from leopard for a long while.. the strip on the floor is the new dock seperator.. introduced since 9a499 era... ancient man... lol.. its got a cool name, called abbey road..

Is Aperture finally working without any graphics bugs?? Or iMovie, or iDVD? It's quite scary that so much of Apple's own software still does not run on Leopard...

ok, after a damn painful upgrade to leopard, it seems like u need to install the package called leopardSWU010.pkg and not the rest.. its in the same location, go find it.. the other packages will fail u miserably.. only that one works.. waiting for my spotlight to cache finish then i reboot to safe mode and install the updates..

 

edit: Maxwell render now works... (using version 1.5) but artlantis still crashes with the error as i placed below... memory management seems better and cpu usage definitely seems so much better.. now its well enough to be my main os.. great job apple!

One month left, still no GM and bugs. Leopard will be delayed.

well, i think at the rate they go now, GM is piece of cake.. its interesting to note that they are stuck at 9a527... there is a chance that this might be the FC and might become GM with some patches released within the next few weeks..

There are no chances at all that 9A527 becomes GM. First, the bugs in it are really serious. Second, localizations are incomplete, visually unusable and crashy. This little update introduced more bugs to me and didn't fix any of the old ones...

They ,the problems, will come with the next big update if there were possibilities to do it wit SU.

looks like iMovie still doesn't work, aperture is atleast opening for me, before it was saying I didn't meet the minimum hardware requirements.. which I thought was kind of weird.

at this point i would say they only need to fix 2 problems:

1. airport in PPC systems still SUCKS

2. syslogd tends to steal one of my cores
