You edit info.plist in atitvout.kext ...

post-31928-1190235260_thumb.png

Thank you Bronya.

I have made all the modifications, but I have not obtained no result.

When I push "finds monitor" it does not find TV.

Watches the photo, please. It could depend on the "dependencies"?.

Thank you.

In the control panel should appear TV support!

I when include MACOSX both I look at TV and I wait that there will be, after loading ATITVout, the screen on TV starts to join and be disconnected quickly. And in the control panel I do not see TV adjustment

Hi Bronya.

now we are two woith the exact same problem ( i assume the same card too)

please could be more precise to describe the steps we have to do?

1. delete natit.kext

2. delete ATI driver ( only atindrv.kext or other files too?)

3. update_prebindig -root / -force ( this is the exact command we have to type on console ?)

4. esatbilish ati_7288.zip ( copy only those two files in /sys/lib/ext ? )

again wich other files i have to delete to start from a clean point?

"delete ATI driver" - ATIRadeonx1000.kext , ATIRadeonx1000GA.plugin .

3. update_prebindig -root <-- boot single user .

4. esatbilish ati_7288.zip ( copy only those two files in /sys/lib/ext ? ) <-- yes ...

made these step without success ( this time screen remain in console mode after launching loginwindow.app)

the boot process continue, it is like the system is unable to display graphic mode

no sign of crash or system stop.

after loginwindow.app start i have the perception of changig to graphic mode (little flicker of screen)

but it stay on console text mode (where you see the verbose boot output)

Hi,

I have MacOs this rls XxX OSX 10.4.10 ...

and my gpu ATI Sapphire 1950 PRO 512 - HWid 7280

Two lcd - 30"" Samsung 305T(2560x1600) + 21"" NEC Spectraview 2180(1600x1200)

I have tried everything what I found here, but everytime I saw on my primary lcd just blue screen and secondary panel is off.

Thanks a lot

It at you what that a problem! You delete natit.kext, ATI Driver. Reboot. Then update_prebinding -root / -force. Then establish only ATI_7288.zip! For you should work QE/CI! If has earned QE/CI then establish natit.kext! For you works QE/CI, it is good! And res does not work, you should establish atindrv.kext and natit.kext! Then repair permissions! And it should work. You videocard ???It is a pity, search in other posts!

Oh natit.kext not support for you videocard !!!

So :

1) delete natit.kext and ATINDRV.kext .

2) Then establish ATY_Alopias.zip in folder /system/library/extensions/ without natit.kext !

3) Repair permissions !

And reboot ! try !

ATY_Alopias.kext.zip

Hey Guys, followed this thread the whole day, tried many ways and nothing worked for me.

I use uphuck os x 10.4.9 v1.4a (AMD) and have an ATI Radeon 1950 PRO 256mb (AGP - Vendor-ID: ATI (0x1002); Device ID: 0x7280; Revision ID: 0x0000)). With the default-driver I have full resolution and can extend my desktop to both "dvi-to-vga"-adapters. But it's nearly impossible to work with this system when QE/CI don't work.

So what files / drivers / whatever do I have to use to have the best chances? ;) The way described in the first post with the latest drivers ends in kernel panic.

But keep on guys, you did great work!

edit: And what the hell is the matter with "AGPGart"? What is it good for? Do I need it? :)

Yes !This your desire, you can try difference of acceleration of a two videocards! What for to you the driver from Jcool? If for you works excellently. That leave and play!

Hi, I have tried this pack, it works with DVI out. Out no CI and QE, card is not recognized, and only get 1024x768.

See picture below.

Hi Bronya, I can report that there is some problem/incompatibility with the new distribution XXX 10.4.10 and your latest driver. I had your driver working perfectly for my Asus EAX x1950 PRO PCI-E with Uphuck 1.4i R2.

However after I installed the new XXX-10.4.10 DVD with 8.10.1 SSE3 kernel, your driver is not working, get stuck at blue screen after boot. The driver is loading ok, you can see that in the boot messages in verbose mode, no errors as such but can't proceed beyond the blue screen, even the mouse doesn't load. I tried to change the loginwindow.app to version 10.4.4 just to see if it would work but no go.

There is another kext in this distibution which was not there in Uphuck, ATIRNDRV.kext which I deleted thinking it couldbe the problem but it didn't make a difference. So I suspect there is some incompatibility with this distributuion, maybe some kext that is causing this.

Hi Niketa, I had the same problem with XXX-10.4.10, Bronya's new driver is working perfectly now on most systems so this has to be a specific problem with the distibution.

Am still trying to debug and resolve because the new kernel 8.4.10 is so much smoother on my system.

grunerd, you try delete agpgart ...

I don't use agpgart, just wanted some information (related to our topic here) I know it's a driver for using system memory to enhance graphics.

Now I found a way to get it fully working. I used the poin-Installer (found the link inside this topic, the file is called "ATI_X1950PRO_Driver.dmg"). I installed uphuck 10.4.9 v1.4a fresh, removed all ati* files and natit and installed the driver with poin's installer. Now everything works fine (DualView, CI/QE etc.).

Big thanks, dude! :)

Hi,

1. I found your pack contain 8 packs

AppleNDRV.pkg

ATINDRV.pkg

atiradeonx1000.pkg

ATIRadeonX1000GA.pkg

ATIRadeonX1000GLDriver.pkg

ATIRadeonX1000VADriver.pkg

ATITVOut.pkg

Natit.pkg

Could you tell me which pkg is for DVI out?

2. After I install your pack and replace some kext from srz, my card work well. But every time I run Finalcut Motion 3, my system will freeze with the screen show as follow. What can I do?

Hi, I got my card work well basicly. Thank you very much.

But I have a issue that I can't import any mov file when I work in Motion 3. I get a restart notice as the pic below.

post-124525-1190553491_thumb.jpg

Since Motion 3 is a major software I'm working on, and it is my major purpose to setup a Mac. So it became my major issue.

I used to get my card work well on Motion 3 with DVI-VGA. The driver I used is ATI_7288, I think. So I think if I can only install ATI_7288 and the pkg for DVI out only. Maybe I can get my card perfectly work.
