Dear friend @deeveedee you don't need to worry or be concerned that a new discussion about Nvidia graphics cards will start.

I and other users have probably also noticed that it's pointless to continue this discussion at the moment.

I'll simply stick with the flawlessly running Sequoia 15.7 and that's that.

Only God knows if an OCLP will ever come along that fully supports Nvidia graphics 🙂

I won't get worked up about it anymore or write anything more about it. For me, the matter

with my late 2013 iMac (27-inch) and Tahoe is closed and "filed away," as we say here in Germany.

Why don't you get a Dell Optiplex 9020 for the euro equivalent of $150.  No problem with graphics here.  🙂

Another testimony that macOS Tahoe 26.2 is still raw.
The Calendar app icon periodically disappears from the Dock. However, if you click on an empty space (where the icon should be), the app launches and runs normally.

If it is a bug, I haven't come across it as yet on my system.

To test if it is indeed a bug, I have opened and closed the App numerous times but noticed no problem as such.

I just think this is a very minor issue.  The fact that there are two of us experiencing this suggests to me that it is one inconsistancy/bug, meaning that it only shows up on some systems but not on others.   Apple might fix with one of the next Tahoe 26.2 releases, and I'm going to do what I normally do - just wait and see if Apple gets around to fixing it at some point.

Tahoe 26.2 Beta 3 is a beta after all, and inconsistencies/minor bugs is common with Betas......

You're kidding, right? 🙂 What would I do with a Dell thing like that? I want to keep using my late 2013 iMac, just with the perfectly functioning Sequoia macOS,

not the Tahoe! And I also have three Windows versions installed on a second SSD, which isn't possible natively on the new iMacs with Apple processors.

That's why a device with an Apple processor is completely out of the question.

And my 2019 MacBook Pro (16-inch) is also well-equipped with three 4TB NVMe SSDs in Thunderbolt enclosures, and I have three Windows builds on that one too.

It's also about the principle of continuing to use my old late 2013 iMac; it cost a lot of money back then.

I run both sequoia and Tahoe on separate hard drives on the same Dell.  The only issues I have are a slight slowdown in graphics and an audio problem that now works perfectly with USB sound adapter.  Plus I have a Windows 10 drive that I can hook up no problem.

Why spend  hundreds if not a couple of thousand on a PC that has a limited lifespan as a Mac?

Friends, can anyone help test whether the patch of __ZN16AppleUSBHostPort14portDictionaryEj16tUSBHostPortTypej will lead to the loss of USB2.0? ( It is included in the XHCIPortLimitTahoe.plist that I uploaded last, but it is disabled by default).

I want to know if he will cause USB2.0 to fail. ( For the first version of the patch that lost USB2.0, those machines)

Easy update from Tahoe 26.2 Beta 2 -> Beta 3 on my HackBookPro6,2.  Still patiently waiting for OCLP 3.0.0 Tahoe post-install patches, so I'm not testing anything (and don't have any expectations).  Still amazed that this 2010 laptop is alive and kicking.

@laobamac_yyds I don't know if I tested correctly (my test steps are below)... I applied only your __ZN16AppleUSBHostPort14portDictionaryEj16tUSBHostPortTypej kernel patch on my laptop hack that does not need USBPortLimit (it has fewer than 15 USB ports).  USB2 remained unaffected by your patch and still worked fine with the patch.

My test steps:

  • Copy __ZN16AppleUSBHostPort14portDictionaryEj16tUSBHostPortTypej kernel patch from your XHCIPortLimitTahoe.plist to my hack's config.plist
  • Enable the kernel patch
  • Boot macOS Tahoe 26.2 Beta 3 with the modified config.plist
  • Test USB functionality and verify USB map with Hackintool

I did not apply any of your other XHCI kernel patches, testing only the patch that you requested.

hi,tyvm.

Can you test two required patches (the two that have been pre-enabled) + __ZN16AppleUSBHostPort14portDictionaryEj16tUSBHostPortTypej?

@laobamac_yyds I'd be happy to.  Can you please start a new thread for discussing this?  I'll post my test results there.

EDIT: Continuing this discussion here.

God only knows if an OCLP with full WIFI/BT support will ever appear: the BCM94360 FENVI FV-HB1200 AC PCI-E adapter. So, the Tahoe question is closed for me for now. If you could give me a link to an online store where I can buy a pre-assembled adapter with the BCM943602CDP and have it shipped to Israel, I might get back to installing the Tahoe. They are not available for sale in our country. 😊

I'm not sure why you need a Broadcom chipset for your USB wireless network adapter.  I am using the Archer T3U plus made by TP-Link and it is the fastest USB adapter I have tried. Of course, I have a laptop so I needed a smaller adapter than one suited for a desktop.  Here is an Amazon link to the one I have and it has others on the same page that are better suited for desktops, although a bit more expensive.  They all use the RTL8812BU chipset and the driver is contained in chris1111's USB WiFi app that everyone is using with the OCLP-Mod USB patch.

TP-Link USB WiFi Adapter

Spoiler

My family came from Ukraine/Poland to the U.S. a little more than 100 years ago, only then, it was the Czar, not Putin.  The more things change, the more they stay the same. Am Yisrael Chai.

Does this work in Clover or Open Core without OCLP mod USB patch? OCLP mod USB patch breaks my webcam. I also do not have the opportunity to use this driver for the above reason. Also, Amazon doesn't ship to Israel: This item cannot be shipped to your selected delivery location. Please choose a different delivery location. And I deleted my account from Amazon

No, for now, the only working solution is chris1111's usb WiFi driver with the OCLP-Mod USB patch.  I have the same issue you have with your webcam only for me, it's the inability to mount my iPhone or iPad so that I can change my music collection on those devices.  Since I don't do that frequently, I can revert the patch and then I can mount my Apple devices.  My understanding is that the patch breaks some USB 2.0 functionality.  Also, that sucks about Amazon not shipping to Israel.  You might try eBay because private sellers can ship to Israel if they are willing to do it and if you are willing to pay the cost.  for a small item like a wifi adapter, it can't cost that much.

It's not Amazon's fault, it's the carriers. They don't want to take risks and ship goods through dangerous waters. For the same reason, some airlines stopped flying to Israel. And not touching USB is crucial for me, as it stops my music equipment from working properly when I digitize my guitar tracks. I also play a little music.
