deeveedee
That was too easy - makes me wonder if there are really any updates for Intel Macs. I tried an incremental OTA update with BluetoolFixup.kext enabled, but the update failed. Disabling BluetoolFixup.kext allowed the incremental OTA update to complete without issues. Audio continues to work well with VoodooHDA.kext 3.0.3 (SIP csr-active-config = <01000000>). Intel Wi-Fi continues to work well with OpenWireless itlwm / Heliport. kaoskinkae
I don't know if it's just me, but there's a serious error with the AppleHDA patch. It's deleting Mac applications in NEW: I'm sending photos of the patch and restoration. Kernel Debug Kit 26.1 build 25B5062e We'll have to wait for kdk 26.2 Edited November 6, 2025 by kaoskinkae 4 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/361923-pre-release-macos-tahoe-262/#findComment-2843272 Share on other sites

deeveedee
@Oyecomova You may want to post VoodooHDA request for help in the VoodooHDA thread. HDMI is known and the 7.1CH depends on the codec. I'm not a VoodooHDA expert, but there are others who can help. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/361923-pre-release-macos-tahoe-262/#findComment-2843274 Share on other sites

What’s likely happening is that you probably used an incorrect version of the KDK. 4 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/361923-pre-release-macos-tahoe-262/#findComment-2843277 Share on other sites

What’s likely happening is that you probably used an incorrect version of the KDK. I am neither a developer nor an expert in AppleHDA patching, so please forgive me for my rather innocent statement or question. From my basic understanding, there is a major difference between MyKextInstaller and OCLP-Mod. While MyKextInstaller requires the manual installation of the correct KDK for each user on their respective system (which is prone to errors), OCLP-Mod automatically downloads the correct KDK (without installing it on the system) and processes it internally somehow. Maybe @laobamac_yyds could provide further details in this regard. I’m completely fine with OCLP-Mod anyway and I never witnessed any disappearance of macOS Apps after my OTA Updates of Tahoe. Regarding the frequent minor macOS beta updates, I personally prefer to stay with a more stable and secure release whenever possible and thus avoid updating my system every week. There are usually very few changes in these small macOS beta versions anyway, so I’m perfectly happy just reading about everyone’s success each week.. 😉 Edited November 7, 2025 by KGP-iMacPro 4 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/361923-pre-release-macos-tahoe-262/#findComment-2843279 Share on other sites

deeveedee
I'm definitely not an expert and I'm far from innocent, but I was thinking the same thing. Sounds like a good conversation for the myKextInstaller thread. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/361923-pre-release-macos-tahoe-262/#findComment-2843282 Share on other sites

Or maybe it is just a cosmetic display by the App you used. I'm just curious that's all. You mean this pharse Xtabout : 09.07.2025 if yes, it means date compiling the application 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/361923-pre-release-macos-tahoe-262/#findComment-2843306 Share on other sites

No idea.. just thought you could try to use it to see if it helps. I am using WEG 1.7.1d7 also without any problems, but I use boot arg agdpmod=pikera with WEG, Radeon VII and SMBIOS MacPro7,1. In fact with the latter SMBIOS, I don't need WEG at all. laobamac_yyds
There was a similar situation before It is highly likely that other Lilu plugins and WhateverGreen have conflicting loading times, and these Lilu plugins are not necessary and can be removed or replaced with more stable drivers. If possible, could you provide a detailed KP report?
