Im going back to iMac19,1 with boot patch. Update not showing up with iMac20,1 even with all those perks

Updated to beta 2. No internal audit output, audio only through DP. FileVault was not auto enabled and I checked various times before I rebooted Tahoe and after booting again.

I have Tahoe Beta 2 running on my 2017 iMac via OCLP, and it is rather snappy. Only two problems no WiFi or ethernet.

Got home from work and finally got to complete the Beta 2 update. Because my life loves complications, it was not as straight forward as just updating as it failed every time until I removed 3 x Ram sticks and used the Install for Ta-Whore EFI and then it all worked. Lucky me Yipeee 🤣

If you have AMD you can happily give beta 2 a try but I’ve had no luck, I am getting stuck at deferred matching count 3. Just hangs there, no response from caps lock or num lock.

How can we install this as we can no longer write to the volume?
I tried and failed also tried it inside OC Kext Folder and it induced a Panic.
 
I noticed it will add an extra 2 or 3 kexts when placed in OC kexts Folder.
Anyone successful in placing it into S/L/E, please explain how.

I have no idea, I was hoping to provide it so people smarter than me can figure it out lol. Can it be injected with OC?

VoodooHDA alone will give you sound. No need for that SST-Audio.

 

And for that SSDT-Audio.aml, you still need AppleALC. Its just injecting the layout ID

Hi my friend, you need check like quality sound is good with AppleALC or VoodooHDA it's awesome.

There is no point for me to update as I only have intel graph  card …

Much ink has been spilled over the interpretation of this assumption. There is no real, unconditional evidence. VoodooHDA should only be used if for some reason the default audio settings via AppleALC do not work.
