Exactly middle of winter down here. Cold, windy and flooding and it's 6pm. Have to stay inside and out of danger for the next few days so there's that I guess... I may have finally got things working by turning my USB map into an aml in sequoia so not sure what to do until Monday.

Need to move to Auckland mate, Got the wind and rain but no flooding and can Hack in peace :help:

Yeah I'll stick with nootRX until there's a WEG update I reckon. Still, EFI seems good for sequoia and Tahoe both atm, I ended up doing a fresh install on another partition and then migrating my data - only took 10 minutes on a clean install and 1/2 hour for the migration. It's working right now but I'm not trusting it after days of freezes, sometimes hours after the install lol. I suspect it's one of my programs because I got a lot running in the background. NAS, sound and audio apps, HWCmonitor etc. After a decade you sort of get buildup... Could even be something simple like Chrome. Anyway, fingers crossed and wait for updates.

 

The audio seems better than Sequoia, AppleALC worked out of the box for me.

To be honest Sequoia was fine but for some reason we're driven to try new stuff out lol.

@Surfinchina When in fact we started fine-tuning a Sequoia with the best of everything, we ended up creating chirping noises for our ears and itching for our skin, didn’t we? Everyone in middle age and up starts out like this. Despite the hard and tiring work, I still prefer the exhaustion of perfecting my favorite hobby: Hackintosh! As a German once said on the Hackintosh-forum.de, ‘Hackintosh is like a garden — there’s always something to fix every day.’ Hahahaha

@laobamac_yyds I have itlwm + heliport running in Tahoe beta 2, relying on the kext and app being used in Sequoia and I was considering to install again the BCM card I have but after reading your post, I would wait a bit more to see if the devs find a fix or conclude no fix is possible.

The Winter weather isn’t that great here also.

Mate come across to Australia, its only a 3hr or so plane trip and will treat you to a beer, pie and some chips😀

Hi, I tryed to make things working like in Sequoia, and Audio is 100% working with AppleALC.kext + OCLP (Chinese version) 2.6.5 with AppleHDA patch.

 

Since I applied the patch everything is working like a charm...

 

The only thing is not working is my BCM4360... Only Bluetooth works OOB.

 

But I use Ethernet here, so is not so important.

 

Now officially working:

 

Audio (AppleALC.kext in OC)

HDMI Audio

Bluetooth (BlueToolFixup.kext, BrcmFirmwareData.kext, BrcmPatchRAM3.kext OC)

Graphics (AMD Radeon RX 6600 8GB) as Metal 3 => Need to disable device properties (not inject anything related to graphics card and hdmi audio)

Ethernet (Realtek RTL8111 kext in OC)

Hibernation (HibernationFixup.kext OC)

NVME (NVMEFix.kext OC)

 

Thats all folks.

Ps: My Motherboard RIP yesterday so I exchange it with an ASUS Prime H510M-K R2.0 LGA 1200, is inferior to my GigaByte B560M-H that has 2 M.2 NVME Slot´s... But Is more easy to overclock with this motherboard.

Just made some changes in OC and everything is working like a charm...

May I ask what version of RealtekRTL8111.kext you are using as I have been using V2.3.0d5 for a long time without any issues. Thank you.

Well,the SimpleRTL8126 is in developing now,it can only init device but can't get correct IP address.I will continue that project when OCLP-Mod for Tahoe  released.

The issue is that it freezes. First time was good for a few hours and shutdown normally. After that it lasts in Tahoe (beta 2) for a second to a few minutes before it hangs.

Could be software because I installed it from a Sequoia copy and it's loaded with my stuff. I've also tried weg (using nootrx atm), turned off usbinject all - I use the tahoe usbinjectall. Done nvram resets and the usual stuff. All the kexts and opencore up to date.

I'm randomly playing with quirks now because I'm old and useless, but stubborn - would appreciate some help!

Just compare patches and disable kexts, nothing special. ;) Enjoy it!!

It was working lol. Froze after a few minutes. It's got me stumped! I've done a proper USB map since then and fixed some things, threw out some kexts and generally pruned it down but still no go.

Are you got installer screen ? I think your USB have unnecessary patches just use XHC or XHCI and nothing more. Your SMBIOS at the end, use your working kext UsbMap or USBPorts and fix with USBMap from CorpNewT

Use USBMapInjectorEdit.command and inject U and then C and L if you need - Rename your SMBIOS just for XHCI or XHC, save and boot 

 

Limited at 15 ports

Try disabling DisableIoMapper in Kernel -> Quirks, on my Z690 rig when I enable DisableIoMapper it shows the same behavior.
