I go back to Leopard on an Ivy Bridge laptop.  The forum says I started in 2008 but I'm thinking I may have started sooner but that the InsanelyMac website updated early on and everyone had to re-register.  I found a copy of 10.4.11 on my desktop but its dated in 2009.  I guess the fact that I cannot remember that far back qualifies me as OLD.

Well it's good to see some OLD Hands are still around and still dabbling with Apple's OS after all this time even though it seems we are now on borrowed time.

Let's enjoy what time we have left in the game before we have to take out a mortgage to buy a genuine Apple machine (when that time comes, I will probably have to have my marriage annulled due to the wife's unreasonable behavior hiding the bank book ).

Yeah, on very borrowed time.

I started with Mountain Lion back in 2007 or thereabouts.  I used Myhack by Conti and his late website to set it up on an old Optiplex 760.  I have been a member of this site for quite a while but am sporadic in posting.  I was also a member of tony Mac for awhile but got myself banned.  😎

cheers, Howard

I Put This Here Because I'm Too Lazy To Make A New Thread

I Didn't Know Where To Put It, So Here Goes...

I WAS Running Sequoia On My 16 Year iMac

Was Sort Of Ok, Graphics Didn't Work 100%

And It Came With A 500GB SSD

Faster Than The Crappy Mechanical HDD Apple Puts In Them

Well It Is 16 Years Old

Went Back To The Latest OS X It Took

That Was High Sierra

Man It's Fast

I Doubled The Ram From 8GB to16GB

Swapped Out The i5 For An i7 CPU

It's Basically The Top Of The Range

I Paid $80au For It

Came With Magic Keyboard And Magic Mouse

Which I SOLD For $60

So All Up I Spent roughly $100

Problem is It Runs Very Hot

Edit:

Anyway I Have It For Sale For $120au

Getting A Mac Mini M4 Cost $999au

I Have A Laptop With 2 SSD One Ventura

Other One Win10

Well maybe not quite, but I am beating you by an extra 3 years. :)

Long may we reign to see the next Apple OS and perhaps the inevitable (hopefully not too soon) death of Hackintosh.

Actually I Made Miscalculation With My Age, was 41

There used to be an app named 'cDock' by macEnhance

I'm not sure if that achieves the desired dock appearance/function, but it might be worth a search.

😆

I really looked for an app like that, if you manage to find one it’ll be really cool!! I’d really like to have a real old Macintosh to run those old ISOs, but nowadays my apps and my work demand a lot from the PC.

God bless you!! 🙏

I'm still here since my first ASUS P5K-E WiFi AP, where the first installed OS X was Leopard ^_^.  @STLVNUB And I still remember your first help to me, for fixing the HDA by sending a patch for the board that have a native HDEF support. But can't remember exactly which board was "P5K-E WiFi AP" which was my first or the "GA-EP45-DS3R" which was my second board. But I go for the second I think :worried_anim: .But it was on another website, I can't remember exactly which one was, Project OS X  or another one. And, it was the good old days, and good to remember. Thanks for, giving us another day, where we can immerse ourselves in the deep of the Good Old Days :wink_anim:

I am here from when this site has been born. Started with OS X 10.4 Tiger. I was so fascinated by the OS X interface, but too poor to can buy a real Mac. Before this time, I modded Windows to look like Panther than Tiger, dreaming to Apple to switch from PPC to Intel. And now the dream is over. Sorry I was so busy yesterday then I had to complete my statement now.

I still keep my Tiger in a virtual machine
