In my 20s years hack I spend hours, days and nights struggling with the language, kexts, floppy, cd and everything that you also know. how many reboot and reinstall os . from Leopard on a Pentium 2 until here to Tahoe I took away a lot of satisfactions, every operating system maybe even on one of the 10/15 notebooks I had I don't even remember them all anymore. Following who found the key for the video card, managed to have the audio or connected to the internet but with on modem 48k other than fiber and wifi. I took a little from everyone and I take Opportunity and I thank everyone here, I read again and if I can here or elsewhere I help, maybe someone takes the time to see behind who I am and maybe someone finds a surprise, but it's okay too. A warm greeting to everyone then and that the game and time continue. Bye

Ps. I hope the translation does me justice

Still here since 2009 and Leopard. I have all the OS on different PC from a modded powermac G4 (starting Leopard) to my mod mac Pro 3,1 (Tahoe on it). So many setups I enjoyed playing with. Life is long marathon :D.

This is a log I wrote on QQ in March 2012
I started researching the installation of Black Apple around 2011
Starting from 10.6.3, we will conduct daily and nightly research on installation, driver development, guidance, and creation of installation images.
Later, by chance, I engaged in professional installation of black apples
Make a living by installing Black Apple and earning service fees from users.
Now it seems that I have been installing professionally for 13 years.
Installation version from macOS Snow Leopard 10.6.3 to current macOS Tahoe 26.2
Approximately installing over tens of thousands of machines.

I have been coming here since the Leopard days if I remember it right. I am 72 now and am still making my amateur music and video thanks to Insanelymac. The only Daw I could understand was Logic and I first came in contact with the program when it still was owned and developed by Emagic. I even own a copy of the PC big box Logic platinum, still have it.

Then Apple bought it so I had no option but to go the mac route. Macs where so expensive back then but I was lucky and found this place so I could keep on playing with my music.

Today I own a mac pro 3.1 a macbook pro and one mac mini m2 and one m4 but I still use my hackintoshes, still have them.

I am typing this on my GA-Z270X-GAMING 5 running Sierra. In fact I want to try to make it run Mavericks in order to make Logic Pro 9 run smoother so if someone can help out it would be super nice. Why I want to run an older Logic is cause I want to go old school with real instruments mics and amps.

I was wondering about @anto65.  I don't see him posting anymore and he until recently was a huge contributor.

Hello everyone again, it's been 20 years since I've been here...

So much water has flowed under the bridge and how everyone has grown...

I'm back. Just got the PC I used to run L/SL on out of the attic and put High Sierra on it. It started as a project to build the ultimate XP computer for retrogaming, with NV 960 as the GPU, but since NV Web Drivers are still available, I got out my old notes and installed MacOS for the 1st time in 20 years.

Hello.
My journey started here on the forum 2012 with a newly purchased Gigabyte Z77X UD5H with the ambition to build a Hackintosh based on a modded Ozmosis bios. The goal of the build was a perfectly functioning Mac OS X Lion 10.7 hackintosh combined with Windows 8. I had to revise the ambition of a perfectly functioning system countless times and I don't know if I ever managed to get an optimally functioning system after that. Regardless, it is still a challenge to continue as it requires both patience and persistence to get things working. Fantastic fun for a 74 year old child.

At one time I had the goal of a fully working dual boot system on a Dell XPS 15 9530. Between Nvidia Optimus and Secure Boot that proved not practical. That was after I failed to get OS X to run on my Dell 1645. Its much easier to swap out parts in a desktop and end up with a fully functional system. As you  say, its a great retirement hobby which I didn't have the time to continue previously.

My first Hackintosh was a Gigabyte 945GMF with an ALC882 sound card; I’ve still got the guide... ha ha ha, with a GTX 650...

@Derty and friends

I started in 2005, right after the release of Mac OS X Tiger for Intel.

I'm sure you remember the ADTK (Apple-Intel Developer Transition Kit) that Apple made available to developers to test Mac OS on Intel hardware. I had (unintentionally) an HP DC7100 (desktop) which, by chance, had components that were very compatible with those in the ADTK. So I installed Tiger 10.4.1 on it, with a lot of help from internet forums and the early gurus. Surprisingly, it worked quite well: audio, Ethernet, etc.

At that moment, I fell in love with all of this and haven't been able to leave it since.

Back then, my username was miliuco, and I still have a video on my blog that I made a few years later, showing the components of my second fully functional Hackintosh with a P55 motherboard (former P35), running Snow Leopard. The video is based on one by Onetrack that I really liked. You can see it here.

Long live (I don't know how long it will be) the Hackintosh!
