I have about this mac working with no crash on 10.5.4 All I really did was use the vanilla SMBIOS 10.5.4 along with the AppleSMBIOSEFI.kext by Chun-Nan, and then I also installed AppleACPIPlatform.kext from karaakeha1's installer guide thread to fix Restart issues, but that's about it. I think what you need is the vanilla SMBIOS and SMBIOSEFI.kext Hope that helps... Karvastor, I do remember that I had GIMP working on 10.3.2, no problems at all. All you really need is X11... I have tried just about every SMBIOS out there and nothing has worked to date. I'm pretty sure its a cpuid issue that nobody has bothered to patch in loginwindow... I must install an EFI bootloader to correct the crash issues I found With logonwinow app .
