Check your logs. Also how long are you waiting? the latest public release has shutdown issues. But macOS has had then for a while. Basically the Dock often freezes, produces a duplicate behind it on some GPUs (the navi chips). That’s fixed in the latest beta. But macOS still feels clunky shutting down. It’s not smooth on a real Mac and hasn’t been since Lion. do you have SIP disabled? Having it enabled can cause problems dumping RAM. With it enabled, I always get recovered files. Plists which are settings locked and loaded into running apps. On shutdown they don’t get ejected properly. unlikely anything to do with the EFI Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/339980-audiogods-aorus-z390-pro-patched-dsdt-mini-guide-and-discussion/page/125/#findComment-2722035 Share on other sites

EFI.zip Hi Buddy, Thats a ugly panic you have going on there. Just looking though your EFI now and I don't see anything out of the ordinary although I did notice you have a custom uuid and the real one being pushed to a secondary one and your missing your MLB. This is incorrect but I'm correcting it now for you. 1 question? What GPU are you using? I not so sure this will correct your problem as it looks macOS based to me but lets see. Lastly Before you Run the updated EFI I have done for you. I want you to remove all power from the system and then remove the battery from the motherboard for a few minutes, put it all back together and then load back in my bios profile, save and exit and try booting with the corrected EFI. AudioGod
@Blesh I just noticed you have added slide=0 as well to the boot arguments. please remove that as OC Quirks assigns your slide value now. Update, I see what you have done wrong with the efi now. you copied the old config to the new efi and this is the wrong thing to do as I have made to many changes. Im redoing your efi for you now so give me a second but please tell me what gpu you are using so I can give you the correct DSDT? Blesh
With the EFI you made for me I can get to the first page fo Catalina install. Or did you mean the EFI from the first page here in this thread? Now my ssd didn't appear anymore, also after many restarts no chance to see the ssd in Disk Utility. Is this the sign that I killed the ssd? By the way, is this EFI you made for me also working for macOS 10.15.4? dsynos80
Morning Everyone! Clover 5116, Latest kexts. 10.14.6 Pro Wifi Yesterday i decided to turn on bios from OtherOs to Win10 Whql. Osx all good. On windows... after a while i couldnt move the icons on desktop and also right click was not working.. Cold booted.. the same after 5 min. Switched back to OtherOs.. back to normal.. What a strange "feature". As AG and others mentioned before.. slightly different hardware means different behavior. Anynody else with the same issue? Not a big thing though. Your EFI AG works great. Just updating Clover and kexts from time to time. Also after 5116 and the latest kexts i noticed improved responsiveness in graphics in Osx with VG64. AudioGod
46 minutes ago, eSaF said: Actually I meant to ask AG about that, as I found running OC on my rig I would sometimes find that I would lose the OC disk from the Boot menu, just leaving the windows disk and the only way to correct it is to switch back to Other OS, save the setting before rebooting and then all would be well. This happened twice now, at the moment I've switched back to Win 10 Whql because of the recommendations but will keep an eye on it. all your doing when your running win10whql is telling your bios that windows and macOS are both pure uefi and you have no legacy hardware, nothing else...lol and yes makes sense for eSaF as up to the other day you had your windows in legacy mode so it must of been tripping balls confused. using other os is telling your bios you have some old janky bootloader or os in there. Nothing should need that option anymore including clover. If you need it then your doing something wrong or you have legacy oldness in there. @dsynos80 if you used my latest EFI then make sure you use the Config.plist that goes with it as I had to change a few patches so the old config is no good anymore.
