panosru
Is it me or that thing is kind of slow? For example, when I switch spaces I'm losing frames, while in Catalina it was a very smooth animation... Do bare in mind that they write for there own Apple silicone first and Intel systems are now the after thought. It’s down hill from here as far as macOS versions on a Intel system go. Why would Apple want to make Intel systems buttery smooth now? They will leave that for Apple silicon, Yes this is my personal Conspiracy theory and I really do hope I’m wrong but we all know I’m not am I? LoL It's interesting because I've found that Catalina on even my real Macs is a little glitchy, while Mojave running on my 2010 Mac Pro is super silky buttery smooth. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/339980-audiogods-aorus-z390-pro-patched-dsdt-mini-guide-and-discussion/page/156/#findComment-2743916 Share on other sites

I haven’t got anything like that happening over here bud. mouse is normal, transitions are normal but there are some graphical glitches going down. bugs 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/339980-audiogods-aorus-z390-pro-patched-dsdt-mini-guide-and-discussion/page/156/#findComment-2743923 Share on other sites
panosru
System Preferences > Accessibility > Display > Reduce transparency helps somehow but still there is some lag in graphics, I thought that Sapphire Radeon RX 580 8GB Pulse would be more than enough though :/ anyways, let's wait for the next updates. Id imagine the MacPro7,1 users and other 2018+ Mac users would be a bit miffed if it was any other way for the next wee while anyway.. just to counter your conspiracy For me so far its a weird bag, graphics wise the performance seems outstanding, scrubbing through a large amount of photos is way more performant than it ever was in Catalina. On the other hand dumb things like trying to install an app seems to take an attempt or 2 to get anything to happen, its like I/O is on a go slow... not got to the bottom of that yet .. suppose it will take a release or 2 for optimisations to occur.. Since when have they cared about there user base and how they force stuff upon them or turn a blind eye to there own mistakes? Examples, Bendgate, Exploding Battery Gate, Butterfly Keyboard Gate, intentional slow down of older devices, intentional shortening of battery life on older devices, RIGHT TO REPAIR!!!! people that bought the last ever Mac Pro using audio apps like Logic Pro or Sadie before they went Intel and then found it useless a few years later, Fortnight, Epic Games, Microsoft cloud gaming in there app, The list goes on and on and I could go on. all the above directly affected the end user and Apple couldn’t give a toss, infact they spent more effort defending themselves about some of the above then doing anything about it. LoL One wonders whether qemu-system-arm[64?] will ever handle "Fruity" Silicon, or there may even be a qemu-system-AS offshoot, based on reverse-engineering Rose-Etta 2* somehow. In the meantime, I just can't seem to find an ATX Fruity Silicon board to swap out on Amazon or NewEgg… Guess no eyeOS apps on Bug Sir for the moment, for me… well, unless I fire up the emulator in Eckscode. Hmm*… *Or by using that. Which they'll yank runtime and/or signing privileges on, of course. Nice.....lol....Try setting the Res manually instead of using Max. Also check your bios and make sure it’s right and not jumped to the backup bios and loaded defaults. Well it doesn't want to play nicely, No mater what resolution i put in, it doesn't fix it (I can make it even larger though lol) Bios settings remain unchanged, reset Nvram after each change to be sure, tried shutting down as well as restart.. I'll continue to play as it seems like its an isolated issue I'm having, display is 3440x1440 if that matters, but it was ok before updating today. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/339980-audiogods-aorus-z390-pro-patched-dsdt-mini-guide-and-discussion/page/156/#findComment-2743999 Share on other sites

gino8080
Hello @AudioGod and pals! I'm Still on BIOS F10 and Catalina do you think I can use your OC EFI zip and try a Big Sur update? Can I just copy EFI on an usb and try to boot my actual Catalina? and if all is working, I can try a Big Sur update? Or Is arrived the moment I have to update bios?? 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/339980-audiogods-aorus-z390-pro-patched-dsdt-mini-guide-and-discussion/page/156/#findComment-2744432 Share on other sites

With OpenCore it will work fine no matter what bios revision your on. However there are many benefits to coming up to the very latest EFI. And yes you can stick the oc Efi on a USB key but make sure your MSR is unlocked and remember to copy your info from clover to OC and your done.
