Is there something obvious I am missing? He didn't have problems with he's USB but instead needed a different setup to the default one that I supply with my EFI. There is a 15 port limit in effect so I try to do a layout that is ok for everybody but TBH that's basically impossible as everybody's needs are different so the best thing I can advise is to make your own usb.kext and set it up the way you need it. just remember that to make a usb 3 port also except usb 2 (eg ss07 and hs07) counts as 2 ports towards your 15 port limit. If you came from a different EFI and USB.kext before mine then reset your nvram a few times in a row and it should kick my usb.kext into life properly for you. A couple of users have had troubles when changing EFI and that’s the fix more times then not. My WiFi works great with this kext. Use Heliport to Connect to networks. In System-> Network it shows as Ethernet 2. You NEED to use Heliport app to connect because it finds the network as Ethernet not wifi. But it works so good!! I tried to implent the two bluetooth files but it breaks boot. Change say HS07 into HS14 and then change it from usb2 too internal and then change the port binary to map the port. If you don’t know what it is for HS14 then look at HS12 or 13 and you can work it out very easily. Well after 30 minutes I was up and running, not one problem at all, straight into the desktop. I take my hat off to you sir, one outstanding thread. Just a quick couple of questions if I may. 1. I have a PCI-E wifi bluetooth card coming in the post so I presume I have to remove the BCM fixup kext from the EFI and the plist, is that correct? 2. I am having great trouble finding an iMacPro serial that is OK with the Apple Checker (tried 10-15 times), can I change to an iMac even though I have integrated graphics disabled as I use a Sapphire RX590 Nitro. There’s zero harm in using it. I have a native combo card yet I use it because it makes my Apple Watch unlock 100%. Without it unlock can fail to unlock every now and again. @WizeMan Just because you said that I’m gonna turn it off and see how it goes. I’ve dumped Catalina now and running Big Sur on my main drive so I can test it out properly against all my outboard and software so il disable airportfixupyourpants.kext while I’m at it too... Disable the kext in the config.plist and see how it goes without it. (Don’t just delete the kext as that will break boot up if you do, make sure you disable of remove it from the plist before you do) you might very well need to use BrcmPatchRAM with that card buddy.
