hansik
Hello, I am selling my build and I have to put thunderbolt for the buyer. I know this motherboard is ready for this, and I need one of these 2 cards. GC-alpine RIDGE & GC-TITAN RIDGE. Is there any other gigabyte working card because currently the one I intended to put is unavailable or hard to find. Do you know from experience a card that works on your build? Should I do a new dsst to patch the ports on the card? Alex1982
Hi @panosru, I'm using the same ASUS BT-400 dongle for BT like your, it is working "out of the box" but with limited functionality(I can connect BT devices, use AirDrop but all other advanced stuff like "Import from iPhone", Continuity, Handoff, etc. partially working or non working at all), so I tried to use BrcmBluetoothInjector.kext, BrcmFirmwareData.kext,BrcmPatchRAM3.kext. With these kext I got full BT functionality with ASUS BT-400 dongle, but start observing instant wake from sleep issue. I don't observing this issue without BrcmPatchRam kexts. Also if I disable "Allow Bluetooth devices wake this computer" feature in system preferences the instant wake issue is gone even with BrcmPatchRam kexts, but(as expected) I don't able to wake my rig from sleep via MagicMouse. Have you seen a similar "instant wake from sleep" issue on your setup with BrcmPatchRam kexts? hansik
hi, i'm looking for a firewire 400/800 that works natively. I have searched every hackitnosh forum, but I don't understand. It seems to have a lot of problem and depends on the peripherals that we are trying to connect. does anyone have feedback on it? You will need to find a way to test your hardware. Thanks for the answer @Tiem, but I doubt that it is a hardware issue, I placed both my TP-link and Broadcom on a test bench and they work fine. My mobo is also working fine since both cards are detected by a live bootable Linux USB, and also by Windows. It's only macOS that has the issue. Anyhow, I mostly have the card on for location services and they seem to work fine, for some reason without the WiFi card, location services on macOS are not working. I will wait for @AudioGod to release the next OC EFI update so I will migrate from Clover to OC since from what I hear it looks to be more stable and the primary way to go nowadays. ctguru
Ordered a PCI-e 4 port SATA card off eBay and it arrived yesterday. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SATA3-0-4Port-6G-PCI-E-to-SATA3-0-Expansion-Card-SSD-HDD-Adapter-Controller-Card/114124787125?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 Couldn't get it to work showing all drives last night. Today got home and applied this kext patch in the Clover config file and now works fine. Find --> 40600200 Replace --> 00000000 AppleAHCIPort On another note I sometimes have an issue when booting, only occurs occasionally (maybe AppleAHCIPort might fix it :)). Just recently converted to NVME boot drive and using AudioGods latestest EFI and config file using clover. Image attached, any ideas? I'm assuming its something that needs to be tweaked in the boot arguments. akma
Hi guys. followed this guide and I have a stable build running Catalina 10.14.4 with Core i9-9900k +64gb of Ram + 1TB of Evo 970 + AMD 5700XT. Thank you all for your work on preparing this topic! I decided to do this build because my previous one just dead stopped working last week, and my work depends on having a functional powerful machine. So, decided to upgrade a few components, namely the CPU and Mobo. One issue though is that I have been using a PCI wifi/BT card from OSXWIFI. When I plug it into the mobo I can't start the computer, the mobo doesn't post, and gets stuck into the dram led on. I take the card out, and everything runs smoothly. Put it in again and my computer turns into metal scrap. Has anyone faced a similar problem? It is not related with the OSX install. I wonder whether my wifi card is fried or has some issue, and I wonder whether this was the problem from the beginning with my old build. The other piece of information here is that, the z390 pro comes with a 8+4 power sockets to power the cpu, but since my PSU only brings one 8 pin cable, that's what I'm using. I haven't connected anything to the 4 pin socket, and it seems I can't buy that anywhere without having to buy a new PSU. You don’t need the plus 4 cpu power unless your extreme overclocking so I wouldn’t worry about that one buddy and I need more info on your WiFi card? Make and model? tip, only use the bottom x8 or x1 pcie slot on the board for the WiFi or your get pcie lane problems Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/339980-audiogods-aorus-z390-pro-patched-dsdt-mini-guide-and-discussion/page/127/#findComment-2723081 Share on other sites

You can find a different Audio Map that's minus them but they do work, I can use them as separate outputs via logic so they have a use. Relating to PCI Devices. You should know its purely cosmetic for stuff like that so when its pulled from one system it might not line up with your own but then you should of pulled your own device list out via Hackintool and personalised it for yourself. With the exception of the igpu none of it even needs to be there anyway unless you like looking at your pci list for a turn on or something.. As for your claims on 19,1...you sure do talk a lot of nonsense sometimes. if you don't know how to fix it or have no hard facts don't just claim its 19,1 use 1,1 instead (the lazy or defeatist answer) as your find there's always a fix. I run 19,1 for the sake of this thread and its perfect. You have to make sure the board is abiding by the cpus rated TDP and power limits by disabling Enhanced multi core performance. all cores - 4.7, two cores - 5.0 base frequency - 3.7 that’s its rated values With enhanced multi core enabled all cores will boost too 5ghz and your heat and power will shoot up too.
