I am currently in the process of getting myself ready to try this out on my Aorus Pro with 9700k. I currently have a RTX 2060 which I know won't be compatible, so I'm thinking I will just remove it completely while installing Catalina and then replace it once done, because I won't have a GPU I was looking at using iGPU could you please confirm which EFI I should be downloading and installing? I have read through and think the OpenCore one but would just like some conformation. Thanks Hiya, im afraid I stopped doing a igpu only version of my EFI as there isn’t one setup at suits all and because of this it was causing me a great deal of headache so I had to pull it from my downloads. when your ready just get in touch with me and il put together a igpu version of my EFI for you and try and lock it down. You can also disable the 2060 via A argument in the bootloader so that’s not a problem at all. I've got my USB with Catalina installed so pretty much ready whenever you are. I've pulled the GPU out now anyway as I had to do so to get my nvme out its slot. I'd rather not install it with my windows drive still attached. Would you like me to send you a PM? Excellent work I gave both OpenCanopy.efi and NdkBootPicker.efi themes a blast, NdkBootPicker is a win for my hack though I did make some cosmetic changes to background.png Hope everyone good and safe! My Clover EFI doesn’t use a kext to give you usb, it’s all done via the ssdt and dsdt and that’s how I manage to give you native usb with no port limit. The same thing can not be done on OpenCore at this present time. Maybe one day but not yet so the 15 port rule is in effect. just to add, in OpenCore all ports are open but USB 2 is limited to the usb2 hub, the front case USB ports and two ports directly under the usb2 hub. All other ports are usb 3.0 only. Also drop Slide=0 from the boot arguments. This won't have an effect on your combo card though unfortunately. Have you tried dropping the Kext AirportBrcmFixup.kext and see if it helps in your case? In the future as OC develops I might be able to introduce a way around the port limit properly like I done in clover but for now it’s simply not possible other then doing it the janky way with injectall.kext but that’s way to janky for my liking. Ya I know all that. I don’t care about the limit. I have 4 enabled. I just care about the Kext config. I have both HS and SS entries for everything but the hub. Asking if I need to pull the HS entries from the rest of the ports. Or if OC will just ignore them and maybe one day work. No keep it inside the limit and remove anything over. it will never be via a kext that all the ports open up with. If and when I do it for OC it will be via a ssdt and a lot of hard work but for now it’s just a no go. keep that kext clean bro and trim it down or just use mine from the EFI. You are the one that pointed it out to me. With OC, not all of your ports work. You are limited to the 15. But with Clover, your DSDT allows all of the USB ports on the mobo to work. As long as you have a couple of usb2 ports then everything should work perfect really. I can’t see the problem and as for glasgood, my man knows the deal and doesn’t need reminding about port limits. It’s all good anyway buddy. Watch out for me at the moment as I’m fed and bored and fighting back at anything I disagree with or dislike....
