By default, you can't: HFS+ partitions are automatically converted to APFS and the option NOT to convert is no longer available/supported... But a patch was posted so try it!

Just the same as MBR.

Read HowTo.

use 14MBRinstallerMaker to make installer, it works with both MBR and GPT.

Can someone explain how can we install mojave on hfs+ with Mojave MBR HFS Firmware Check Patch 10.14.pb1?

I unserstand that we need 14MBRinstallerMaker but it requires 2 partitions. I want to make a usb installer. Where should i make theses partitons? At my usb or one on the usb and one on the hard drive I'm going to install mojave?

I can recommend @dosdude1's macOS Mojave Patcher to create the USB installer for Mojave Beta ---> allows single phase installation of Mojave on HFS+ or apfs volume.

This also allows installation to proceed on systems with older SMBIOS eg MBP5,1 or MBP7,1, and bypasses check for Metal capable graphics card.  Of course it also works on newer machines :).

I had installed Mojave Beta using MBR Manual method. However when final version released I have tried to update it using Appstore. But I have noticed that OS update is not available in appstore. Only some Application updates are available. Is Appstore doesn't work in installation done my MBR patcher? But I could update using the Q7update script supplied with patch. Is Appstore update not possible in pached version?

final version is 18A391, the update isn't exist, 18A391 need to fresh install.

and it seems HFS+ can't update from AppStore, only APFS can update from AppStore.

I've tried MBR Mojave installer but there are some problems in boot verbose with Lilu. On 10.13.6 High Sierra loads it though.2002592164_Screenshot1.thumb.png.6e5bf67ab7b2898fb83c73b1ce6f3b2c.png

CLOVER.zip

That's the Clover setting issue.

If you install it with createinstallmedia method, you will get the error, I think.

Tested  createinstallmedia installer and Lilu loads but "Unsupported CPU" and "Unsupported PCH" comes up.

Try different Clover setting and remove some kexts and dsdt, ssdt.

It's not the installer issue, it's Clover and kexts issue.

I could update to 18A391 using update script supplied with the patch given in title post. As I have a mechanical HDD, going to APFS wouldn't be wise for me as I know.

I don't get it.

I can't find 18A391 (2018-09-24 16:52:15), only find 18A389 (2018-09-12 18:56:14) with update script.

Sorry, in my case also it is 389. I have overlooked previously. Is there any way till now so that it can be updated to 391? Please research about it. Or I need to fresh install 391?

As I said before,

final version is 18A391, the update isn't exist, 18A391 need to fresh install.

Unless, you can ask apple to put the update of 18A391 to the update server for beta user.
